Any concerns with buying a CPO 2020 4S??

We have 2 EVs and just alternate chargings. Just depends how many miles you put in a day. Thankfully for us we just charged 2-3 times a week per car.

As far as missing the 911 everyone is different. My friend went from 911 to Taycan and doesn't miss the 911 at all. The instant torque of an EV and handling of the Taycan washed all that away for him. Only thing he misses is the sound but he doesn't have sound package on the Taycan.

I also have 2020 4S with update and when people say there's no plug and charge before update I didn't have it but most recent road trip I plugged in and it registered on it's own and started charging.

Yeah, with my Tesla and my current job, I was charging 1-2x per week, so I suspect I wouldn't even need to get the double-corded EVSE except just to be convenient.

I haven't liked the Sport Sound but making sure that I find one with that option so that if I miss the sound, I have it.

I bought a used 14-month-old TTS last December (MY2021) and it’s the best daily I’ve ever owned. No issues at all, insanely fast and sharp with a turn of the dial, smooth and quiet otherwise. Fit and finish superb. Plus HUGE savings vs new ?

Yes, I do miss daily driving an EV. Loved the response, the instant torque and being able to zip through traffic without noise. I have no doubt that as a daily, it will be far superior to my old Tesla or any ICE car I can think of.

The question is, will I miss the fun sports car on the weekends? For those 3-5 times a year when I do a nice ride with the group ? I suspect probably not.

With the missing of the 911, I suspect it’s one of those things that once you don’t have it for a while you’ll miss it. But then if you get one again, you won’t.

In my case it’s like a convertible; when I had it, didn’t use or like it much. But now I’m finding myself wanting one.

The key in buying a CPO (especially one with PSCB and/or carbons) is to ensure that there are no issues with them that could be considered wear & tear. They cost as much as an economy car to replace….so dont get surprised.

Sorry to ask but I m looking at a turbo with the same kind of brakes. It look nice and clean but how can I tell if it is faulty or not? I test driven and I dont hear any sound and brakes very hard.

Bring the car to speed, put the car in neutral to disengage the motors so when you step on the brake pedal it will be 100% mechanical braking. You usually can tell if something is not right either through pedal feel, or noise.

It is pretty unlikely that the brakes would be faulty at the time of purchase…especially in the case of a CPO. These brakes are much more likely to time out before they wear out. When they time out, it requires the replacement of parts. You should inquire as to what the next service interval is for them and the approximate cost to ensure that it’s something you can live with before you buy. Porsche brakes can be very expensive and as a 2nd owner, you may have to deal with them.

Brakes on an electric car are barely used due to regen. I wouldn’t worry much about it.
