should be taking collection of my Taycan 4S in 2 weeks. I asked my SA about the prepaid maintenance packages and I was quoted

2/20k ($770)
4/40k ($1,830)
6/60k ($4,675)

Is it worth it? Prices for servicing will like go up in future so better to lock in pricing?

I would say it is not worth it. in my two+ years of ownership there has been zero repairs necessary other than the 2 year inspection

This plan is for routine servicing, not repairs - how much did you spend on the 2 year service?

Don't know US prices, but it wouldn't be worth it here (EU)
– unless that's really all they charge you in any case incl. material etc.

I was surprised by the $2800+ cost for the 6yr/60k service. What could be included in that to justify that steep cost?

I got the Porsche pre-paid 4/40 maintenance discounted on delivery day. I asked the service department for quotes on the cost for the 2 yr and 4 yr service visits and the prices did seem to add up to the cost of the plan. I realize this is can change for different dealers and locations.

I'm planning to keep the CT for a few years, so I just decided to pay in advance and don't even think about it anymore. Obviously not worth it if one is only planning to keep the car for a short term.

Maybe ask your local dealership for quotes on the 2,4 and 6 year maintenance costs and then decide if it's worth it to you ?

Its not worth it. EVs dont need regular maintenance like ICE cars. And before other people flame me for saying that, every "maintenance" item on the Taycan is "inspect" except for the cabin air filter lol. This is someone who's logged 150k+ miles on 3 teslas. The only time i needed "maintenance" was for warranty items or 12V battery replacement, well and new tires of course.

Anyone with a minor technical inclination can replace their own cabin filter. Inspection and/or bleed/flush of brake fluid shouldn't cost $1000 either.

The $2800+ cost for the 60k service is for brake replacement. Do brakes on the Taycan need to be replaced at 6yr/60k?
This is my first EV, I thought that brakes last longer due to kinetic braking?
Has anyone had their brakes replaced yet and at what mileage?

I once had a toyota prius go 150k miles before it needed new brake pads. I'd imagine the Taycan has way more powerful regen capabilities than a prius, so the brakes could potentially last longer.

Essentially there are only two items to service under regular maintenance every 2 years or 20,000 miles.

1. Bleed the brakes
2. Replace cabin air filters.

if you spend more than $500 per year you are getting ripped off. Screw the dealer, there are hundreds of independent Porsche shops that will gladly do the work for a few hundred.

This is a blatant money grab, don’t fall for it.

I would get well over 100k miles on my pads on a MB or other cars. I suppose it is about driving style.

I get around 60k-80k KILOMETERS here on ICE MBs (city driving mostly) but I'd say I barely bake (using downshifting extensively). 100k miles (160k Kilometers?) is... wow... you do a lot of highway?

I spoke with the financial rep at the dealership yesterday and was quoted approximately $8K for 6 years equaling a total of 10 years bumper to bumper.. he said he could give me more accurate pricing after asking some questions regarding my driving habits on the day I take ownership.

The tire and wheel package runs $3714 for 7 years
