Just been told by Porsche today the following:-

Hi Mr Sandhu, I have tried to call again. I just wanted to give you an update. The feedback from our technical team confirms the noise is from the brakes, however nothing is defective and the noise has been confirmed as a feature of the brakes. The recommendation is to drive the vehicle more, and the noise may go once the brakes have become bed in. I know this is not the news you wanted, and certainly not over text. I just wanted to advise of the update. Kind Regards Porsche Centre Reading

Basically I am not accepting this. What a load of rubbish.

This was basically what I was told after the rear rotors were replaced and the noise still existed. Im considering selling the car because of it.

Plus it can’t be the brakes because @offplan has the same issue without PSCB.

Same here mate. I have read that at low
Speeds the vibration between disc and pad on PSCB make sound. But what sucks is some have the issue and others don’t. That’s not good enough when spending over £125,000

This is my fear of getting another taycan that might end up having the same issue

@offplan how many miles/km have you done on your Taycan now? Have you driven it hard and braked hard too?
I’ve done 32K Km,
No tracking or hard driving, just a regular work commute. It is not a brake pad/rotor issue it sounds like it’s a motor/inverter issue.

I’m waiting for others to get some sort of feedback from Porsche. Here in the UAE I’ve hit a brick wall of denial

The Tech has acknowledged that there is a sound, but he has brushed it off as normal. I have a friend whos Taycan doesnt make that sound. Im going to take it to the shop to make him realize that it is not normal. Please let me know what the outcome of your visit is.
What will your friend do to you if the tech just adds the noise to your friends car instead? :CWL:

I think this is right. Mine is getting worse now and it seems to be something to do with the motor and the regen system.

I have the squealing:

1. On gentle acceleration to 20mph, straight-line and cornering
2. On regen mode when the car slows to a stop (from around 20mph to zero)
3. On light braking (from around 20mph) where the green regen bars come up on the speedometer

On hard braking or hard acceleration (both almost impossible in London or uncomfortable for all passengers), there is no squealing noise..

It's really doing my head in now and getting worse. I'm seriously considering selling the car back to Porsche who deny it exists as a problem at all.
What brakes do you have and how many miles driven? @thomasnhyde
