Looks amazing mate, congratulations and enjoy! Was thinking for a second, there’s been a mix up and you got mine. Will be collecting it by mid July and can’t wait.
Thanks mate! Love the Ice Grey colour and black wheels combination, works really well.

Good much with your collection!

As long as not too many people get Ice Grey and black wheels... :D common as muck!

But I get loads of comments. Today in cloudy conditions it looks really grey too, first time I've seen it look so grey

Yep indeed! I did say yesterday that if i didn’t have a “your cars on a vessel” update within a fortnight id be cancelling the order and buying something else. Like many others in here, it just gets you down and you feel like an over privileged arse asking for updates and being annoyed.
FWIW my experience last year with the lack of 12V batteries was similar.

My car was completed except 12V battery in July 2022 (having been ordered in July 2021 with an expected before Christmas 2021 delivery but start held up by shortages…) then went into storage awaiting a 12V battery supply, there were a couple of thousand cars in storage awaiting the batteries but when they first got a supply they put them on cars in production, so the stored cars were not completed until the production line had surplus.
They were then delivering 2023 cars to customers whilst my 2022 car was still in storage.
I eventually got it in December 2022, about a year later than originally anticipated.

I considered cancelling several times but am glad I didn’t.

Snap! I ordered mine in November’21 and same thing happened to me - car built in June’22 and in storage in Germany awaiting a 12v battery until November’22.

Finally got the car December’22 and drove it for 1,600 miles until March as I was abroad. The car has been back at Porsche since March (now end of June) fixing various rainwater leaks and during that time the panoramic roof has cracked whilst at the body shop.

I considered cancelling several times during the dark days of summer’22 - wish I had.

Good news for me today. My dealer told me my car is on a vessel. (I'm assuming the Neptune Hellas). Feeling lucky compared to some who've been stuck at Emden for a while. I believe mine arrived there on the 14th June so just over two weeks.

My car entered V810 today "release for transport" after 6 weeks in port. hopefully soon!
Good news - congrats. I’m on 8 weeks at Emden and counting.

Good news! I am guessing, but suspect there is a batch built over a certain period in April/May that are held at Emden and yours was built after the issue was addressed.

Good luck getting it, fingers crossed for you. I've slipped into the camp of we can't even say July even though they've confirmed there is no issue with the car. I'm away for most of August so it could now be September.

Out of interest, has anyone who's had their car stuck at Emden for a good amount of time, 40-50 days plus, managed to negotiate anything off? I was thinking something like a Ceramic coating or something that costs them very little in real cost but sweetened the deal a little, PPF or anything?

I'd have to say if they take the piss for a long time and then give you a Porsche teddy as compensation, I'll be a little irked.

It's worth a question, or will I just be considered even more vermin like for daring to ask?

Nothing yet, the car’s ready this weekend but I’m travelling so will collect once I’m back. All a bit of a joke in truth and I’m not holding my breath for any special support.

Interested to see the number of available cars drop from 110 to 51 over the month end period. I did note a car for sale at below what it would be. I know the link to the configuration is showing the MY24 prices but there is a Neptune Blue GTS from Cambridge which appears to be discounted from original list price.

yeah I’ve seen a few that appear to be slightly discounted but then again I don’t know exactly what the specs are, it’s not hard to drop £25-30k in extras and then see a car that’s only upgraded it’s wheels and then looks cheap.

Had a message for the dealership yesterday afternoon to say they have no update and for me to keep checking in periodically, it’s been in Emden now for 70 days, I honestly don’t think it’s getting sorted anytime soon so I’m wondering about compensation or some freebies to sweeten the sour deal.

good luck for getting yours shortly!! Hope it’s everything you hoped for.

To be honest technically, anything Porsche has estimated, have been estimates. If you have nothing to guaranteed a date, legally no chance. However, the dealer could try to make you happy and offer something. It always worth to try, as without trying you already lost.

ask for it, you can only get a no for answer ?

This is now pretty much as bad as the battery delays - affecting those unlucky ones whose cars were produced during the issue but not those after. What's worse this time is we don't fully know what the issue is - at least with battery supply issues we could speculate and track the production market.

It's also impressive (right word? not sure) that Porsche have kept the real reason so close to their chest that nobody really knows why there was/is a stop sell

To be fair, I’ve had nothing but no no no since I started this process, it’s impossible to keep landing heads, a tail must arrive at some point
