Still waiting on ship info.

Dimensions are 497/255/63mm for a/b/c. The hole diameter is 10mm on one side and 13mm on the other.
Have you seen this in previous posts? We made it with 8020 extrusions and Yakimo exo mounts.

Hi. I'm actually new to this forum, but I'm definitely interested in joining. Is there still room for the third round of bike racks? I saw some pictures of the first round of racks being used, and they look awesome! Can't wait to be a part of it. By the way, have you heard about Harley Tuning? It's something I've been curious about lately. Anyway, keep us updated.

Thanks to those of you who joined the 3rd group buy. Bars have all shipped out this week. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions and post a pic of your setup here!

I still have 3 sets of bars from this batch if anyone else is interested.

@mocsman @laua @jvdsanden @mikezhang31 @The Riddler @DeadEgg @Pinballplanet @segfault66 and @IonFlow (shipping later as requested)
Will get them over the weekend and post some shots, but this is a properly high quality rig, I’m really impressed!

Hi @bsclywilly. Awesome design and clean work. I currently have an 1up hitch rack, 1 with 2 trays and then 2 single trays to add on to make a 4-bike rack. None of the trays have a groove to slide a carriage bolt into though, and want to avoid buying and storing all new 1up trays. I read through much of this thread and could have missed something, but have you encountered this with anyone yet, and found a way to make your bars work with these non-slotted trays?

I don’t think the 1up hitch rack trays can be converted since they’re two separate pieces. Wait for a receiver hitch if you want to use your existing rack. The Porsche setup with my tubes are nice to minimize weight and keep things simple but I can understand if people already have a hitch rack it’s hard to give up for a proprietary system.

I was working on a receiver hitch design a while back so if there’s more interest in that I could have a few made.

I would certainly be interested in a receiver hitch design. I saw on this forum that someone posted the design for a ball hitch that people seem to be happy with, so that could be a good starting point. That does add a lot of excessive weight though (those 2 and 4 bike hitch receiver bike racks are HEAVY!) and your design is so clean and simple. Full disclosure though, probably won't be buying my CT until December.

Hi Willy,

Sent you a message (I think). Interested in ordering if there are any left. I already have oneups though. Do you sell without them?

Thanks!

Hello,

I saw your rack and I would be very interested. Congratulations to make it real! I already have 2 bike racks at home: one from Thule to be mounted on roof bars and another Bike rack supposed to be mounted on trailer hook (Atera Strada EVO 3). The Thule is basically behing most of the OEM brand bike racks and I think Atera is the brand behind the Porsche bike rack for the Cross Turismo. I am almost sure that we should be able to adapt one of those two to the bars you made as they are mounted with "T style" screws on the bars. Did anyone tried to adapt Thule products to the bars?
Anyone thought about EU regulations in case of crash or accident? As those bars are not certified in countries, could we have problems in case of Police control?

Thanks,
Marsu

The spacing of the bars is about 48" (122cm) so as long as your rack can accommodate that span it should work. From some previous research I didn't think Thule had any product that could go that wide though.

There's a few people using these bars in Europe (CH, UK, SE, NL, RO) but I guess it depends on your comfort level due to the regulations there and local policing. I would just say that if that's a concern but you still want to use these bars, get a license plate mount and lights so you don't attract the wrong kind of attention. The TUV, ISO, and other standards bodies are mainly testing the security of the bikes to make sure they won't fall off in a crash.
