I find comfort access useless because it only moves some things. For example
It doesn’t change seat height or steering wheel height - if you are very tall the seat is already back and the wheel back too, so it does nothing.
Yes it does, on mine it does, full range of wheel and seat adjustment

MY21 4s here. I would miss it. I like the fact that it’s tied to seat memory position.

Sometimes I stop at a coffee shop to read email on my computer and I push the steering column out of the way. It’s great to be able to just push the memory switch and have it come back to the right position.

Per the manual, in comfort exit the wheel goes up/down but not in/out; and the seat goes back/forward not up/down.

Depending on driver size, the wheel can get in the way as it does not retract.

Even for not so tall folks (5'8"), it makes things worst. It pushes the seat slightly behind the B pillar making ingress/egress awkward.

Porsche isn't the only manufacturer that is deleting the electric steering column over supply issues. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate pickup about to be built that comes with virtually every available feature as standard; except for an electrically adjustable steering column. I was told that GM wanted to avoid build delays that were likely to occur if they tried to include this option.

Since I'm tall, my seat is already all the way back so a comfort option isn't a big deal. My 2021 4S wheel has electric adjust but I don't think I've touched it since the car was new.

Is there any way to configure the distance the seat moves backwards.

On BMW’s the forward/back distance and the max could be configured. So, the seat will never move back beyond a certain point (max value - to avoid crushing rear passenger knees), but the forward/ backward then works for different drivers.

Any tools to configure the value in Taycan? I find the seat moves back, but too little. I need it to move a bit more back….

For what it's worth, when I picked up my RWD in early July, the SA told me that the column has been set up for power adjustment. Inoperable now because it's missing a chipped component, and expect a recall (maybe) to install it.

To be honest, I don't think this will happen, as they removed the feature from the memory package description.

Turn it off and see if you miss it. Sometimes we don't notice nice features until they are gone.
I had this in my range rover sport, but it stopped working a few days after I got the car so I dont even remember what it was like to have it lol

The wheel barely moves from my pre-set position, so not a big deal for me.

For a car from the premium class and especially if you have seat memory, this should be standard, or am I too spoiled?

You cannot get it as an option and it was present when the car was introduced (I was able to find the latter via YouTube).

When I mentioned it at Porsche they told me this was a CHIP issue.

But does the car now being delivered (after juli 2022) with Electrically operated steering column?
GTS, Turbo and Turbo S retain the option.

The configurator description makes this clear.

Chip shortage is the reason.

I had it in my MY21 4S and now have it in my GTS.

Not clear when the change was made so you'll need to check each car with either 14/18 way seats if the option is there if buying 2nd hand.
