Trunk won't open ..i'm on a role today!

Right now i am unable to open the rear trunk lid on my TCT4S. I've tried with the button on the car and the two keys but no good.
The frunk and doors all open as expected.
I've locked the car overnight and come back but that did not resolve the issue either. I've checked settings in the PCM and they all appear correct.

Anyone else experience this?

Unfortunately yes. You may have had water ingress into the latch mechanism. There’s a known defect with CT trunk latches and they have revised the part. May get lucky, but likely will need to be replaced.

Did you resolve this as I have the same problem. Is there a manual release available.

I asked for an emergency release process for the trunk but the dealership did not (didn't appear to want to) provide! Their preferences was to see the car.

Porsche Centre Dublin were able to resolve this.In fact it happened twice!
It took them circa 2 hours to resolve on both occasions.
When I mentioned water ingress I didn't get a (this is known/unknown issue) response and unfortunately they cannot guarantee it will not happen again.

I do need to mention the excellent service on both occasions from the Porsche Centre Dublin Service team. Quick, Responsive and clear.

I'd be interested in the outcome for you as I am very confident this issue is driven by moisture but i cannot prove it!

I’d be interested to see how you got on as low and behold it’s happened to me now a third time!

The lock mechanism has been replaced, its due to water ingress. The car has got to go back so they can find where the water is getting in.
