Sunroof Cracked

My Porsche Tycan sunroof got a crack. Look likes it's a spread from one side. Likely something fell from the top. Must be a sharp object. Please could someone guide me. Repair it? Replace it? Use my insurance or pay for it myself.

This does look like something dropped on it though, rather than the type of cracks which just appeared.

That has been hit by something falling. I would be interested to know the cost of replacement- and I suspect that will push you down the insurance line. I have a vague recollection of reading something along the lines of £8k somewhere. Please post the outcome

Point of reference. Replaced a rear window on my sedan. $1800+ for OEM replacement.

i got a rock chip on my glass roof, got a 6 inch line towards the front of the car. Insurance covered it. $4500 for glass and $4000 for labor. The body shop cracked my windshield when they were removing the roof so insurance paid for that too. After installing everything back, the roof cracked again so now i'm waiting for the 2nd roof to come in. Body shop/glass company will be paying for the 2nd roof. My deductible is $100, insurance paid $11k.

That looks like a heavy stone hit. I wonder if PPF would have protect the glass roof.

small rock, point of impact was small but it was parked under the sun so i guess it got bigger. The windshield and roof was about $6300, labor and miscellaneous part(clips, interior trims) are the rest. Labor was like $135/hr

hahahhah, they asked for $180/hr but insurance only will do $135/hr

Yes, though with that kind of impact I'd guess all the PPF could do would be to hold the chip fragments in place- the pano roof would still be catastrophically damaged.

I got a chip in my windscreen it soon developed into a 2ft crack was quoted £3800. Replaced thru insurance.
