I seem to recall one Forum Mbr being told that pebbles in shroud were a 'wear and tear' issue and not covered by warranty! Total BS imo as the reason they get in there in the first place is due to a fundamentally flawed design - one that was clearly recognized and re-designed for 2023 ...

.... BUT that latest TSB also clearly shows Porsche stepping up to replace these on request - and good for them - BUT :), yet again this should imo be a general recall to ALL pre-2023 Taycans and fixed universally and not on request should you just happened to read that TSB! Hopefully SA's are being advised to offer this fix whenever a customer complains of the issue which is certainly the case in my example.
I sent the TSB to my SA, and never heard back from her even after a follow up call and email, so I emailed her boss and told her I built, purchased, and service both of vehicles with them. I got an immediate response and her boss was extremely professional. She told me that they could order the parts, but I would to provide a sound clip of the fan making noise before PCNA would allow her to replace it. She assured me that if/when the issue occurs they would get it replaced smoothly for me. I hope she remembers it when the time comes, but I just gotta chill.

Interesting but indeed (before this TSB) I had just brought my car in for the electric charge door fix and had already shared a vid of the horrendous noise emanating from my front left fan area and if’s of my fix, so I guess an easy call for my SA.

I went in to Porsche service for an intermittent grinding noise and it turns out to be a faulty A/C compressor. I inquired the SA about the fan with this TSB but SA said the fan is still fine and won’t be replacing them yet.

Same issue with mine. Car is 16 months old. Only noticed this last week. I’ll send video to the dealer and remind them of the new modified fan.

Except its not fine - its a flawed design and Porsche is just not willing to fork out the parts/cost for retrofit until you too have gravel lodged in there (a piss poor response for such a critical part imo).

If it happens be sure to take video with sound as it is required for a warranty replacement (unless of course it happens with techs/SA at dealership). This faulty design has the potential to have gravel seize the fan motor if badly jammed - now hopefully it simply doesn't happen to you but your SA is just parroting some decree from PCNA as the parts are indeed available and mine are being installed at the dealership (since last Monday). Every 2023 model has this corrected design.

Sent video to SA today. Advised that this is debris and as fan is operational it is not a defect and visit will be fully chargeable.

Just got my car back today after having this issue resolved. It took 3 days due to issues with another part and one of the bolt heads breaking off. My dealer did a very thorough replacement job for the fans and a few other parts. You hopefully can hear in my video just how pronounced the issue was on my car.

Replacing the A/C compressor did not resolve the issue, the noise is back. Went back into the service center and they will be replacing the A/C compressor mounting bracket this time. Parts need to be ordered from Germany. I took the car back in the meantime and will bring the car back in for mounting bracket replacement once the parts arrive in October.

@ciaranob Did you have to pay for the TSB-related work, or was it covered under warranty?

Dealer inspected car two weeks ago and confirmed some debris was present. We did discuss the reason that a new fan was produced would indicate that the original was flawed. The fan is out of alignment and they have advised Porsche that both fans have to be replaced with the updated version. Can't fault the dealer but still waiting on Porsche agreeing to the repair.
