Congrats on the car! Was there any indication on what stock they had? Was it just RWDs you discussed?

I believe the search was limited to my specific requirements, so yes only RWD cars were identified.

I suspect other variants will be available in greater numbers!

What a nice call to get… how does that tie in with what you expected in terms of delivery? Did you know it was built and en-route?

Told Sept build, two weeks ago it was being shipped to UK and apparently now about to get PDI’d for Thursday…. So a little fasted paced but get the feeling dealer was being cautious with definitive dates…..but with the ups and downs this year, not surprised.

Thanks. I’m build complete tomorrow (yey…!)and being told early nov - mid nov delivery so trying very selfishly to see if these timings look reasonable. Roll on Thursday….

……’well I never’…… just had email from Porsche Cambridge, Taycan ready to pick-up this Thursday, just waiting to see if I can ‘dump off’ my model x at the same time……

….and so, the time has arrived, told I can pick up this Thursday from Cambridge Porsche, just waiting for time confirmation.

Nice touch from Zenith that not only can I pick up from the dealer instead of home delivery, but they have set up that I can drop off my mode x at Cambridge Porsche and literary jump from old car to new car which is just the cherry on the cake.

Only negative, Porsche bike carriers are on back order….?

…so after Thursday, will need to find a subject other than waiting to complain/write about….

• Range?…..5000miles on a charge?
• Rear view cam/surround view….doesn’t show admirers around?
• Charging batt % AAA batts charge faster?
• PCM……does it make tea/coffee?
• My fat ass doesn’t like vented/massage seats?
• Gucci sunroof with electronic shading?
• Bose isnt as good as my singing?
• Carmine Red is the fastest colour?
• Should I ‘chav’ it and wear a Burberry hat and driving gloves when using?
• Maybe add a big eagle sticker on the bonnet like Smokey and the Bandit!
• Get Carlos Fandango supper wide alloys and rip them off in a gateway (flash back to those that can remember advert for Panama cigars!)
• How many posts can I make so that people like and makes me look popular with more likes than posts?

….or maybe I’ll just enjoy the car and realise that the wait was worth it ?

what was the turn around from completing production to it arriving in the UK? did you ever get access to my Porsche for the build photos etc?

yep and if you're on a 3 year lease you shouldn't see the worse of the BIK rises post 2025!

on the other hand, you might need to start spec'ing your replacement in 12 months or so given the wait times a number of us have had!

No tracker or ability to access build phot, final spec check was end July, Sept build slot, informed end of Sept shipping, looks like 2 weeks shipping to dealer, Monday arrived at dealer, Tues/Wed PDI, Thur pic up.

4 hr drive from where I live to Cambridge, drop off and pick up, then drive back, going to try and find route with no motorways if I can

I'm hoping mine will be ready in December and it's via Cambridge (through Zenith) and was also thinking of collecting rather than delivery as it's part of the experience. Look forward to hearing about your experience.

I would highly recommend collecting rather than delivery....

Although dealership collection experiences are not what they used to be... it is still an event, especially when one has waited so loooooooong for the car.
