No mention of a new heater though, funny that they would miss the many, many comments about the heaters.
Ah, but it is! One of the 5! docs in the press kit talks about increased heater power, as well as changes in the coolant routing/passages, to better harvest residual battery heat for cabin warmup.
There are specs on faster warming (and cooling) of both battery and cabin (in *C per min).

@Avantgarde @whitex I’d recommend watching the autogefuehl video on the refreshed taycan (link in the first post of this thread). It includes a short drive, demoing the Active Suspension in ‘sport’ mode (anti-dive, -squat and level side-to-side), as well as ‘comfort’ (banking with the turns). Push-to-pass (if optioned) is available in any mode.

I picked a few other interesting bits:
- the power meter graphics are a bit more subdued
- the center compartment lid is unchanged
- that, and the DPC videos give a better sense of the exterior changes

Edit: oh, and that lighted lettering at the rear is just ghastly. I’d pay to have it disabled.

A huge thank you to @JayGT4 for posting this extensive overview! brilliant. I absolutely love the technology updates, particularly the suspension. Also i am quite impressed with the new "standard features" of which i had to pay extra for when i ordered my 23.

What is not impressing me is the look. Perhaps its just the models that they have highlighted here but they seem to have lost that sporty look which i really like. I will wait to see what the GTS will offer but for now... I am quite happy to suffer along with my 23, of which I love driving.

Absolutely agree about the light show in the back. Not for me...

So I have a lightly used CT4 incoming. Although the cost of options on the new cars is unknown, I think the difference is easily over $50k mostly due to the depreciation on the incoming CT4.

As much as I appreciate the improvement on the charging and range, the current charging infrastructure in the US is still so inferior it just can't provide the user experience that should be expected with Porsche. (Goes without saying, home charging is must.)

No way to justify the $50k delta because the improvement on the charging and range won't be fully realized on a road trip.

Indeed, lots of standard equipment, including, apparently, powered charging port covers.

Perhaps this is unsurprising, given the scathing feedback here, as well as the generous standard equipment on the Macan EV. Besides, all models come with a hefty price increase, so the standard kit isn’t exactly “free”.

I struggled to recall a mid-cycle refresh that was so comprehensive, and nothing comes to mind. The would-be 944 S3 refresh became eventually a new model (968). 997.2 introduced a completely new engine, but little else. The Porsche official video on the new Taycan called it the most expansive in their history, and they’re probably not exaggerating.

Interesting that the PCM is different to the Macan EV. No App Store, No YouTube, etc, instead an app I've never heard of call ScreenHits TV. Is this Android Automotive or another derivative? In the press info they say it's the latest generation, so maybe the software version in these early reveal cars is not up-to-date?
Does the PCM have Android Auto as well as Apple Car play?

Good point about the price increase negating the "standard equipment" value. When i ordered my Taycan I was faced with either choosing to go without my chosen options, or wait an indefinite amount of time to receive my car due to supply chain issues. I hope those problems will be resolved...

A masterclass in upsetting your current customer base, my taycan is the worst financial decision I have ever made and now with this it’s worth even less. A refresh should be just that this makes the current car obsolete, now I appreciate new models etc but here with ev’s we have a new dynamic at play, no one in their right mind would ever take the previous generation which makes the massive depreciation unacceptable imo.
Porsche could go someway to alleviate my frustration by at least giving us some of the software updates.

Thanks Porsche.
At the risk of upsetting some on here, some of us have been saying the evidence was pointing to a pretty significant update to the Taycan to keep it competitive, and we’ve been watching this this for over 12 months. Two main things pointed to this: 1) the extensive amount of testing Porsche have done in all climates indicated it was way more than just front bumper changes but extensive HV and drivetrain changes, 2) the Macan EV was shaping up to be a very strong vehicle, and we know there is a pecking order in the Porsche lineup and there was just no way that Porsche could allow the Macan to upstage the Taycan for more than.a couple of weeks.

The electric market is moving fast, much faster than combustion, something I happen to enjoy.

I feel you… it is sad to know that my 10 month old car feels outdated already. Although optically the changes are not that big, I still have a massive FOMO feeling this morning. This was not a facelift but a 2nd gen IMO.

I disagree with the financial part. Every car except for some exotics and limited ones are bad financial decisions. The more expensive the car, the harder you will feel your bad decision. Thats why I treat every vehicle purchase as an instant to zero depreciation. When I sell, every amount above $0 is a win for me. So maybe I’m lucky in 3 years and will get up to 45% of the value! It is free money ;)

Damn.

I feel like I’ve gone into an Apple Store and bought the old iPhone the day before the new model is about to be released. Yes, we knew it was coming.

It’s pretty much a bit better in every area and is way more than an updated headlight design.

Love the active suspension and larger battery capacity.

Not sure I’d really want to be charging at 320kw regularly though.
