Those flat black plastic trim parts are a pet peeve of mine. I was going to buy the carbon fiber covers for them but when I saw the savings involved in just painting them, I decided to go that way instead.

Here's some pics and a video:

Looks sick. Can you tell us more details? Did you paint them yourself? Did you do it at a shop? What did it cost?

And most important, will porsche approvie it or will they bitch when you try to extend warranty? :D

Hey,

I didn't do it... had a shop do it. Costed me $800 for the back and $900 for the front. That's in CAD, so around USD 1300.

Never thought about warranty. Why would a little paint have anything to do with warranty?

Just a few more details: they removed both bumpers and removed the plastic parts that would come off or masked where they wouldn't and then sanded, primed, painted and clear coated.

Looks great! Love the contrast with the matte wrap.

In europe at least, once warranty is done, to extend your warranty, car needs to go through the porsche 101 approval process, to become porsche approved - which requires the car to be as new - at least according to porsche website.

If it's not like new, they will offer to service it, at your cost, until it is. And then they will happily approve it and allow you to pay for warranty ?

The gloss accents with the stealth PPF look really nice ?

For what it's worth, I have had Porsches with aesthetic modifications. So long as they are attractive (e.g., no flames or dragons or winged unicorns in waterfalls on car), Porsche has been chill . . . .

I would like to see before pictures. Also, looks great new, but are you worried at all about chipping or wear over time?

Attached a few before pics. No, not too worried about chipping or wear.

Looks beautiful!
I always say that the true test of a car's beauty is when it is dirty and the silhouette alone evokes an emotional response. The Taycan is one of those beautiful shapes...
Just like a beautiful woman, you can add lipstick, makeup, perfume and fancy clothes but at the core is a beautiful woman...

I love it. I want to do the same to my Carmine 2022 Taycan. When I posted the idea you should have seen the "experts" dissing the idea. Wankers. The rear undertray with the strakes looks trick. Where did you get that piece?

Not sure what there is to diss... I know looks are subjective, but those flat black plastic parts just don't look good. Hard to argue that.

The diffuser is VR Aero. Link here:

Really like the hood decal! Could you post some more pics of the front with the decal? Also, any recommendations on places to purchase?

Hey,

This was a hand cut vinyl, not a pre-made decal, so I can't tell you where to purchase. If you want to do the exact same, you'd have to go to a vinyl wrap shop and ask them to do it. Alternatively, I've seen some pre-made ones on eBay.

Here's some photos and videos as requested:
