Any feedback on how to approach extended warranty?

Any things to check for on this car to make sure I have ruled out any common or costly surprise issues?

I would go for the Taycan (I just did, from a Macan S).
  • The Macan will be more practical; and easier to get in/out.
  • The Taycan will be more interesting to drive.
  • A Taycan Turismo has 90% of the Macan's practical aspect - except the ease to get in/out if one has troubles like knee issues.
Getting Porsche Approval on a Taycan should be very easy; especially on 2022+ that are nearing the end of their initial warranty.

In addition to the standard mechanical inspection you'd do on any car, I'd suggesting getting yourself an OBD II scanner (plenty of threads 'round here) and have a look at the State of Health of the battery. There may be other points of interest, such as obvious imbalances in the charging levels of different modules, or the more controversial ones such as the number of launches. (I'm not judging either way, just pointing out that the data is available.)

Seeing some lower mile 30’ Turbo S in the upper 80’s now.

I get it, I'm not much of an SUV person either. The Taycan Turbo S is a great choice with its incredible performance. Offering $115k sounds like a smart move. For anyone interested in unique cars, jdmbuysell is worth a look too!

I toyed with these options too until I saw a chalk GTS in person. So beautiful with clean lines. My heart skipped a beat and next thing I knew I was driving off the lot in it.

Whichever model/spec causes your heat to skip a beat is indeed the right one. Damn Porsche for being able to name their price based on their ability to do this. ?

Good call. How are you enjoying it?
I am loving it so far. I am happy with the car. I love how it looks. It drives great. It is a big car, but the 4 wheel steering makes all of the difference. The cameras are very strange compared to a BMW and I am still trying to figure out how to use those best. The acceleration is a rocket and I hope to explore some twisty turny roads soon. I really like the ability to remote precondition the car and am loving the all electric life at the moment. The instant torque is great. I am having to use the lift feature way more than I was expecting. Glad I have it.

I got the deal I wanted on the car. It is 13 months old 2023 with 6k miles that I got for under $130k. I has all of the options except I wanted except it is missing 4 zone climate control for the back seat. 3 kids are fitting well in the back seat for the local trips.

On day 4 of ownership I picked up a screw in a rear tire and had to replace that tire. That was a bit of a bummer, but not the cars fault.

I am trying to figure out a couple of things now. When stopping, there seems to be some back and forth motion when finally coming to a stop with normal speed and stopping force. I don't remember this from other versions I drove and not sure if I missed it, if it is Turbo S specific, or if there is something wrong. I am also trying to get used to the ability to inch forward. So when parking up to a parking block, the front camera kicks on and I come to a stop and try to inch closer. This is a very jerky effort.

I am trying to find the best paint coating at the moment. I am not sold on the idea of PPF, but want a good ceramic or synthetic coating to protect the paint.

I haven't tried Macon EV. But as a Taycan Turbo S owner, I want to day I really enjoy the car. It's big but it's easy to turn. The extra options (compared to the base model) are worth it.

And a used car may mean longer warranty time.
