Active Ride suspension affect on range

I've ordered a 4s with Active ride, but now I'm having second thoughts. I can't seem to find any info on how it affects the range. Any actual info out there?

If you use the configurator, the estimate for your actual model is displayed in the technical spec tab. Try modifying your configuration without the Active ride and check out the difference.

It is powered by the 800V battery. So it will reduce range at least a bit. More than heated seats? Maybe it will be reduced in range mode if it has much effect on the range. Maybe it will also improve range by lowering the car ? Range is better anyway with the larger battery and better aerodynamics.

edit, took one for the team range changed from 560 km to 554 km by adding active ride in a 4S sedan with 19 inch wheels. So it is minimal.

edit, took one for the team range changed from 560 km to 554 km by adding active ride in a 4S sedan with 29 inch wheels.

I've just ordered the 4s, so I can't check my mileage. Heated seats, etc, I can turn off, but with the active ride it's on all the time. Two motors and two pumps, constantly in action, could eat up a lot of battery. I was hoping to hear from someone with real world experience, or has raised the question to Porsche engineers.

I configured a 4s sedan with 19 wheels and added active ride. Range changed from 560 tot 554 km when selecting technical details at the bottom of the page. Standard battery.

Just did the same with a 4S with big battery on the US site and the EPA range didn’t change. Strange.

On the Belgian site it does say it is specific for the configured car , on the US site is just says EPA estimate. Maybe it doesn’t take all options in account.

I heard somewhere it uses 20 PS to operate, suspect it will vary by terrain. I spec’d PCCBs to compensate for the range loss and to improve ride/comfort (expensive I know!).

I think the US site works differently. It show general EPA of the car and doesn’t change with the configuration. For US might be better to use the UK website for this.

I think that range difference is only due to the additional weight of the system, no?
