The quickest cars we've tested have flirted with a sub-two-second 60-mph run for almost a decade, and the 1092-hp electric Taycan breaks through in 1.9 seconds.

• The 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is the first vehicle we've ever tested to blast to 60 mph in less than two seconds.
• That's quicker than our previous champ, the Ferrari SF90, as well as the Taycan's key competitors—the Lucid Air Sapphire and Tesla Model S Plaid.
• Notably, this Turbo GT did not have the Weissach package, which saves a claimed 165 pounds. So, that spec could go even quicker.

Added: braking and skidpad numbers:

...the Turbo GT also beat out the other four-door EVs in braking—141 feet from 70 mph and 274 feet from 100 mph. And its 1.08 g average around the skidpad ties the 375-pound lighter Plaid's result while beating the Sapphire’s 1.04 g’s.

Yes, they do that in all their standardized testing, as of a few years ago, unless specifically stating otherwise.

The full article goes into a lot of detail and adds disclosures that the tires contributed greatly to their result. As for slower accel times for the Tesla, CD does not test on prepped drag surfaces and they average results from runs in two directions.

Generally add between 0.2 and 0.3 seconds based on prior tests they've posted. The GT did do a very low 1.9 before adding in rollout, so still very impressive.

So it's really a ≈3-60mph test, not a 0-60mph. C&D has been drinking too much of the manufacturers' Kool-Aid. My old Fiesta could do "0-60 mph in under 3 seconds*" (*after 20 foot roll-out) . lol

Like unbiased notes, why subtract rollout?
The C&D description of their testing method doesn't give the reason, but they pledge to note the roll out time in each test, which they neglected to do with the GT.

I will post a 0 - 60 time with no rollout. I have never used the Sport Chrono timer, but according to the user guide it has an “extended data recording” mode that stores speed at intervals of 1/10th of a second. Unless there’s an easier way to get an accurate record?

Dragy is the best and the standard now. Mount the GPS box in you back window if you have low signal

There is a one foot roll out on the Dragy app too for comparison. Rollout is a nonsense metric to compensate for lack of grip when launching

Thanks for the info. Dragy just ordered. The guy in the video on the dragymotorsports website did 0 - 60 in 4.83 seconds In an Audi S? ICE performance cars aren’t really that slow are they ? I drove an RS7 before the Turbo S I just replaced and I remember it feeling pretty fast. Maybe it was the V8 roar accentuating the impression of speed?

60-130mph is the metric that's most important now.
