I'm getting a red light on the charging panel and an error message " An error occurred when charging the high-voltage battery ".
I've tried resetting the wallbox and checked the vehicle settings.
The vehicle still refuses to charge

I'm still getting the error - any experience or suggestons?

What's the charging port light doing?
Are you sure that the cable is properly engaged in the socket?
I had a red light on my charger just the other day- unplugging and plugging back in got things going, so I guess it wasn't properly connected.

Try holding the charger in position until you hear it lock.

I had a lot of issues early on as my home charge lead was stretched. It always triggered the red port fault. It just needed holding in place to engage.

I’ve also experienced a red wall charger light and clears with unplugging the wall outlet. As for the “tight” cord, I’ve placed those rubber bumper mats on the garage floor so I know where to stop. My charger is on the inside of the garage towards the driveway ( for previous Panamera 4S ehybrid where charge port was in the rear). So the cord barely reaches.

What "charging panel"? Do you have photos? (Panel, whole EVSE/"charger" etc).

How long have you had the carband setup?

Check the earthing on the EVSE (wall box).

Which EVSE do you have?

Do you have the standard or 22kW AC charger in the car?

Hoping its not a failed charge port (try at public AC charging locatiom).

Try the following to aid debugging:
  1. Try at a public DC charging station to determine if its an AC only issue.
  2. Try at another AC charger (either a public one or another EVSE at a different location).
If both pass, its an issue with your own EVSE. Otherwise, armed with the results of those tests bring it back to your Porsche Centre.

Centre console and both charging points show the error
What's the EVSE showing? (The box that the plug connects, on your wall)

One of two things - communication error between car and EVSE or charging port issue or failure.

Suggested also to try public charging to rule out onboard 11kW car charger issue.

Do you have programming enabled in the EVSE and PCM? This can cause confusion (communication issues) so always use the PCM to control the charging session and not your EVSE (place in a dumb mode).
