Well that's my love a fair over with the Taycan had it 18 months it was OK however had lot better cars. Trade in £50,000 so took a hit of £60,000 a well back to Audi.

Mine went this week also. Too many trips to the dealer for one year, took a beating with depreciation but so glad I didn’t buy it new. Final send off was a complete charging failure on the day of sale.

I can't believe these problems are still occurring years after going on sale.

Totally agree. It has spoiled my affinity with Porsche for a while. Great car to drive, no doubt about that, but in one year…

HVAC
Stuck charge port, twice
Brake hoses
Rear suspension mounts
Rear hatch rubbing panoramic roof
Charge failure

I’ve nothing against EV either, not a problem there as a concept and as a practical daily. But I’m off to an M3 Comp for a bit.

Very similar to me, i jumped into a C63 after my EV ?

But it will be a Porsche next. Just hoping the MY25's will be better.

Tbf I had a longer list of faults from my Alfa Giulia ... sucker for Italians ?

I'm going full heart ?

I've had issues with most of my new cars, hopefully ill eventually be lucky with a Taycan / Macan etc ?

Good luck to those leaving the brand.

I sold 2 weeks ago...

I did ok on a p/x against a BMW i4 M50.
Taycan was £84k new in 08/21 and got £40k trade in 11/24 with 23k miles.
My target is 50% depreciation after 3 years - so it was ok.

I am done with Porsche unfortunately. It was my first and although car was ok, ownership didn't live up to my expectations.

But I'm still poking around on here.

I4 M50 is a cracking car, very popular with people i know, including one of my best mates. Good choice ?

I had one ordered, but ultimately changed my mind. I should have just stuck with my order.

I will more than likely get a Taycan, whether or not that proves to be a good decision, I don't know. Even though it won't be mine to sell in the end, I'll still be paying some depreciation in the lease cost.

You know what, I'm at the start of my Porsche journey, I'm hoping its an enjoyable one.

I wonder if you could share what Taycan you had and what issues you ran into so you are getting rid of it after 18 months.

I think your experience may well be better than mine purely due to timing.
Mine was unfortunate.

New model with plenty of teething issues (recalls / faults).

Lack of trained technicians.

Parts shortages. eg heaters.

Lack of loan cars etc during the post covid madness.

I think these will be mostly sorted now.

The title of the thread rung a bell in my head somewhere 'love a fair'.

And then I remembered what it was - 'do you like circuses'
?
Sorry, off topic, but for the uk brethren....
