Hi,

I am new in the Porsche universe. Due to the current Belgian regulations for company car, I am forced to look at electric cars. I am currently driving a BMW 520d and I need to change it within the next 6 months.

I am seriously considering the new Taycan facelift and I would like your opinion regarding the configuration I have put together: PSW47WF6. What do you think? I like confortable, good-looking cars. I am not sure between standard leather vs full leather / standard LED lights vs HD LED lights / Neodyne accents being too much?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

Regards,

Hi Frabky, this is a pretty good build assuming you are configuring your first Porsche and "forcing" yourself on the best EV we think we have here must be terrible  .

Regarding your specific questions.

Standard Interior is too basic and a budget option on lower trims, so if you can afford Leather Interior, then definitely prioritize it over other things for the comfort that you are looking for.

Standard vs. HD headlights is something that our EU forum owners would be better to advise on, since in the US we have zero benefit from the HD in brightness or function due to the regs.

Otherwise, the only one big one that causes a lot of confusion is InnoDrive with ALK since if you do not add this you are only getting LKA which is just a frog buzzer when you get closer to the lanes AND you cannot add it later as FOD (function on demand) is currently not offered for 2025.

There are a lot more options that I could suggest but which ones are you interested in that you may want to add and not sure about.

Welcome to weeks of playing with the configurator and steadily justifying a higher budget! ?

Go drive one if you haven't already. They are superb to drive.

Neodyne is beautiful. Not gaudy nor too bright IMO. However, I suggest you visit a Porsche dealership to see if it works for you.

I would go with Full leather I had a loaner with Std leather and it felt cheap to me. I am happy that I optioned the full leather one my mine).

If you have budget, go with the HD LED but IMHO it is not that important unless you do long drives during the night. If not, the LED is enough. So basically if you have to choose between Full leather and HD LED I would go with Full leather. If you can afford both go with both.

Thanks a lot for your responses.

I have indeed tried a Taycan 2025 recently and I was especially impressed by the suspension.

I am not interested by the ALK as I have a similar system on my BMW and while it works fantastic in traffic, it disarms quickly at normal speed and is more a gimmick to me. ACC is something I couldn't leave without though.

Ok for the lights, I am sure it is nice to have, just not sure worth the extra cost.

What about the panoramic sunroof? We can't obviously take full advantage of it in the front seat position, but does it 'enlightens' the car interior significantly or again I should consider it as a nice to have also?

Any additional considerations regarding the other outside options for the look?

There is a huge deprecation on the taycan. If I were you I would consider getting a used one in 6 months. It will save you a lot of money and less painful if you need to sell the car again in a couple of years.
