Dick Lovett Swindon said they did not drain the fluid when doing the brake pipe recall so it still needed doing for the service a couple of months later.

I thought the drains check is for the drains in the undertray of the main battery to make sure it isn't waterlogged.
Hmm - pretty sure the TSB for the brake hose replacement specifies the fluid replacement as a requirement.

A grand ffs. Why do we have to be taken for fools?

£70 to check a fixed pano roof? I can't believe they've even had the balls to put that down. This is clearly a hangover from the opening sunroofs that they 'regrease' lol

Not looking forward to my service back end of this year. Sure i'll fall out with a few dealers.

That's what they described to me as well when i had my 2 year done a while ago now. It was also presented as not mandatory but it could invalidate warranty if i didn't do it.............. Oh, and they didn't mention it until they had the car in the workshop. PRG.

That right there is what really stinks. Either something Is mandatory, then it should be in the schedule from Porsche and done consistently, or it isn’t. Anything in between just smells of extortion.

I have been given similar stories by several OPCs. Porsche need to step in and clean up this mess.

Does any one know the type of brake fluid used by Porsche in the Taycan?

If it’s a silicone brake fluid why does it need changing after 2 years?

Hello All,

I was supposed to have my car's first 2-year service in November, together with the brake recall work. However, they didn't have the parts so it got delayed.

I chased them as I'd not heard back. They have given me the following quote. Car has done about 5,000 miles. Does this look reasonable?

Thank you!
