Wanted to ask for advise on what is the best course of action after a low speed collision.
I was parked in a queue of traffic with the auto hold on, when the car in front rolled back into my front end.
Low speed impact - probably 10mph and on initial inspection no damage. I took her details and some photos then continued onto Porsche (car was due in for a new tyre).
We looked at the car in more detail and can see a hairline crack across the front bumper - ouch...
Called my insurance company to report the issue - Admiral - they have said its a no fault accident (but I don't have a dashcam or witnesses) and passed me onto somebody called Auxillis. Auxillis aren't sure if they have any Porsche approved bodyshops and I've read a few horror stories about the company charging a huge amount for car hire. This is making me nervous and I don't like this idea.
I can go back to Admiral and I pay the excess myself and they try to claim it back. They will also use Porsche approved.
Or, could even avoid all the drama of insurance companies and just get it sorted myself. I've added a picture of the hairline crack - but have a feeling that it might need a new front bumper...
Just looking for advise really
