I’m considering switching my current 20” aero wheels for 21” exclusive design. My car currently looks like this:

And ideally I’d like it to look this:

Is there anything to be mindful of in doing this? Will they be a direct fit, any issues with tyre pressure monitoring etc?

I have currently got a brand new CT loaner with 21’s, and the ride quality still feels pretty good to me. I’ve also noticed that there has been no noticeable Ackermann effect on these 21’s, however my own car judders like a machine gun on the 20’s with Pirelli tyres.

I don't think there are any fitment issues as either 20" or 21" can be spec'd on the configurator.
I had 20"s on my MY21 RWD and now 21's on my MY24 4S. I have not noticed any real drive quality difference. Perhaps a bit stiffer ride. The one thing that I have noticed is that the 21's do not like potholes. After one tire failure, I won't drive in the rain at night during the winter. If I can't see the depth of the pothole, it becomes Russian Roulette as to whether I make it to my destination.

I moved to aftermarket 21” HRE wheels. They are custom built to order so fitment is fine. I love the look and the ride really isn’t much different. However my efficiency has dropped significantly. I can’t quite say how much because of temperature changes but it’s definitely noticeable. I also now have a little break squeak upon coming to a final stop especially on hills. It was looked at and isn’t a problem per se but it’s unbecoming of a Porsche. Curious to see other replies to this thread.

I have never driven on 20’s but my 21 RS Spyder wheels are fine for comfort, still getting around 220 miles in the winter, I have just changed to Hankook Tyres and they are quieter and stopped the Ackerman effect completely.

They are interchangeable.
I have a 21" set for summer and 20" with winter tyres.
The ride is not as good on the 21" but overall the ride is very good anyway, one of the notable features of the car.

The sidewalls are very prone to pothole damage on the 21" and since they are wider they have more drag hence inferior efficiency.

If the (painted) 21" Cross Turismo wheels were not by a country mile my favourite looking Taycan wheels and I liked any of the 20" offerings I would stay 20" winter and summer, but I don't like any of them.

It is a real shame they do not do a better looking range of 20" wheels.
I had 20" aero turbo s wheels on my 4S CT and have now got gloss black gen2 mission E on my 4S ST. The ride is slightly firmer and I do look harder for pot holes and slow right down on failed road surfaces around here.

I switch from 21” to 19” for winter and get at least 10% improvement in range. Also ride comfort on bad UK roads is improved for minimal loss of handling. I suspect in terms of ride, handling and range the 20” wheels would be a sweet spot. Personally I’m not a fan of the rubber bands on 21” wheels in terms of looks I prefer a taller profile tyre - I’m sure this view won’t be shared by many! ?

I love these CT 20” wheels. best looking wheel on a Taycan - each to their own of course .

I agree. Wasn’t keen on the original with the grey finish but notice the facelift model now has them in black:

I don't like low profile tyres at all but the only 2 wheels available for a Taycan that I like the styling of are 21" :(

I am the opposite, any wheel painted gloss black with machined highlights looks awful to me :)
The CT ones are the only 20" wheel I quite liked but not available painted (to get rid of the "diamond turned" highlights I dislike so much).

21" is a so much more agile ride!
20" cornering brings the heavy Taycan much faster to it's physical boundaries.

Everything else is a matter of taste.

20" a bit more economic in consumption, ok.
