Ironically I got an "Online Update Available" messages.

Just kicked it off (which could be a mistake!). Came up as WRW1 and is about online diagnostics. Will apparently take 35mins to apply during which the car cannot be used. Will go and check on it later.

Am wondering if this might be the WRS0 related update...

It was the WRS0 campaign - 'checking high-voltage battery cell modules and installing battery diagnostic software'.

I received the letter about it in December. The workshop manager who collected my car yesterday (as he lives close to me) asked if I had it, and said they would install it at the same time my car was in.

I don't know if it's available in Europe, but the UK is now rolling it out.
My car was in for assorted fixes and battery related recalls (WRS0 and ARB6). I collected it on friday and the service rep said some new recall/software patch had come in overnight (ie on thursday night) and they'd installed it. Was something to do with OTA updates, but he didn't really seem to know exactly what. He said the car still needed to come back in 60 days to have the battery checked again.

The earliest i could get it in and have a loan vehicle was mid June...... ffs.

Mine's all done. No dramas. Selected the relevant bits in the app to allow sharing of data.

Will see what happens next! (Red circle of doom? :D ).

WRW1 update is discussed in the latter part of this thread.

The consensus is that it’s related to the mobile communications module / gateway and communication between other modules in the car. Not specifically battery related, either the 12v battery or HV monitoring associated with WRS0

Interesting.

The text on mne specifically noted online diagnostic capabilities. Nothing to do with "internal" comms between modules.

Possibly a bad translation somewhere...?

Did you get the same splash screen as @nrps1 did as below?

I did - again, it talks about external communication.

Will check in with my dealer when it goes in for its MOT.

(1) Improving communication between ecus in the car, and (2) improving online diagnostic capabilities are not inconsistent objectives.

Sure. Don’t think I ever said it was.

Is this the update that tells me I have a HV battery issue? That’s all I really care about here.

Mid June!
It's getting beyond ridiculous in the UK.
Indeed. I’ve never really expected a courtesy car for a service. But a mandatory 3 day safety recall every 60 days, I do. I did point out that enterprise has plenty of cars, it doesn’t need to be a 5 series. they should just bill head office. Crap for a premium brand.

The only way I can get in for a timely service is to decline any courtesy car. Even then they bumped me off due to lack of staff etc.

The motor trade in this country now is pretty fooked. Simply not enough well trained staff.
