I tapped on it when I parked up at a local shopping centre. Realised It was gonna update and so didn't go to the next step...or so I thought!

Upon returning from a brief shop it turns out it had initiated and started installing the update. Luckily I had to time in my schedule to wait, so I went for a 20 minute walk and it was done. Glad I wasn't in a hurry! ??

Done and done. Had to re-pair phone but that was it.

So we know what it’s not. Do we know what it is though?

Yes, it is what it says it is. An update to the communication module of the car.

Likely nothing massive, as it was done OTA. So likely some bug fix or some optimizations. Someone was saying it’s supposed to solve 12v draining issues, but nothing actually confirmed

Where are the OTA naysayers now???
They are (a) reading reports here and elsewhere of updates failing, disappearing, flattening the 12V (ironically), and bricking the car - with a wry smile
(B) wondering why Porsche couldn’t fix a few more of the most obvious bugs at the same time.

one (or two) emergency update doesn’t show that Porsche understand how to fix bugs in the software we use every day.

Don't forget the massive update which came in 2022 for those of us who didn't have colour tiles on the PCM.

Personally I'm happy with few OTA updates.

Got it 2 days ago. No issues. You guys sure it is not the one which was supposed to be released in Q1 25? It looks a lot like it to me…

Who knows. It might be the precursor to that. Or it might be it. Only Porsche know for sure and the descriptions are cryptic at best.

I can’t install the update. When I press the button to start the update, the screen goes to “prepare to update, this could take up to three minutes” but hangs there, after an hour or so, I get another notification there is an update available, and it starts over. Seems like it is doing something as I lost 1% battery

anyone with some tips and tricks?
