Car's first MOT done today. Free if you have the car serviced with them.

Brilliant comms throughout. Gave me a nice lunch while I waited.

Extended my warranty at the same time.

Can't recommend them enough. Fab service.

How much is the warranty extension at the moment? Is it £1000/yr? And did you need the 111 point check?

Sheffield have been fantastic with me. Any issues sorted out pretty quickly. I did find it funny tho once when collecting the car with my daughter after some warranty work, that they assumed the car was hers, she’s 16 ?
(I have a name that is used by both male and females unfortunately)

£3k for 3yrs. (It's a bit more than £1k/yr for 1yr or 2yr terms). Price excludes Porsche recovery (I have cover elsewhere for that).

Warranty was extended before the factory one expired so no 111-point check needed. I did get a vehicle health check FoC...

I also have recovery elsewhere, but still took out the porsche assistance. I think the value is really in getting your car seen straight away if you have an issue, rather than joining months long queues if it comes in another way. Hopefully won't need it, but service times in my neck of the woods are off the scale.

I did consider that, but wonder how much it would ultimately help...eg in the case of a battery problem.

I do also have use of other cars, and thus far have not had issues on timing. So not a biggie. (I will live to regret that I am sure!!).

In the case of a big battery issue, well any issue, they give you a courtesy (enterprise) car as a matter of course for duration of repair. Without using assistance, I wouldn’t get one from my dealership unless I waited for 4-5 months, including for safety recalls…..

Maybe just a London thing, dunno, but I’d sooner have the optionality to have a replacement car.

I don’t really like having to effectively pay double for roadside assistance, though at least the other recovery service I have is via a bank account bundled benefits package.
