I had a Taycan GTS ST and a 992.2 for 24 hours last April whilst I traded (kept the 992.2 and use this and a Macan T).

Taycan (phenomenal) but as a private buyer a depreciation disaster (50%+ within 2 years is not for the faint hearted).

I have a 2021 Taycan turbo and a 2002 911 targa.

For 3 years I've owned a 991.2 S. I loved the car, and is my 5th 911. Our relationship began to weaken after acquiring a 2025 Taycan. After driving the Taycan for 3 months, I found the 911 cramped, too loud, and not as peaceful. I believe it is my age (65). I am considering selling the 911.

Since my GT3 is arrived, I enjoy a bit more the Taycan's everyday usability, and smooth but still sporty ride. GT3 is another league, but wasting miles in heavy city traffic or boring autobahn trips.

I divide my driving time between a 2020 Taycan 4S, an '09 997.2, and a 2012 Cayenne for Home Depot trips.
I drive the Taycan year round, and store the 911S from November to April.
I enjoy the particular charms of each of them.
