After days of research, emails, wrong part orders, and taking the bumper off twice, it's finally finished.
I present, the NG1 Rear Bike Carrier Preparation retrofit on a j1.1. North America GTS Sport Turismo.

I'm able to retain the GTS specific diffuser. I did not install the wiring harness as I have no intent to use the Porsche Rear Bike Carrier. Here it is with @bsclywilly 's bars.

Was it just the 2 brackets you needed, or was there anything else required? I'm planning on fitting the harness aswell.

I have that panel already, did you order the brackets direct from the dealer?

Correct. It's a direct fit to existing impact bar bolts.

Great research and work you have done. Everybody is telling me that it can't be retrofitted.

Can you share the parts list and maybe some details about the installation? Do you know the amount of work for also installing the wiring harness to have a complete retrofit?

Hello! Just note I did not retrofit the wiring harness. It is possible the harness cannot be retrofitted

Have you already done the installation including the harness? How did it go?

yes, I completed the installation of the physical hardware, mounting bracket and bumper. It's near 100% OEM fitment. There was a minor required permanent modification to an interior piece of the bumper which I can provide details of in a DM if interested.

Overall, the most difficult process is the bumper removal and reassembly, with the rear camera being the most challenging part to remove and reinstall. Also challenging was ensuring parking sensor and camera harnesses are not stretched/stressed during the removal and accounting for all the screw types and locations during the reassembly. If you have hands-on experience working on German cars, there is very tight fitment tolerances for many of the parts. The use of bumper/trim removal tools is necessary. Overall, it was a 4 hour job for 2 people.

Further, I did not retrofit the harness as in the US, there is no particular scrutiny related to the rear lights, and I don't plan to drive long distances/periods with the bike mounted, so I have low risk of accidents. I do plan to install reflective stickers.

There is a high possibility harness retrofit is not possible on the Sport Turismo without NG1. Reference the photos below. Notice the metal plate overlapping a round slot, this is where the plug is mounted into the harness. This metal plate appears to be unique to the Sport Turismo without NG1 (all NG1 Cross Turismos has an opening here). This is where if you must install the light plug and harness you may need a customized solution.

Further, I did a cursory search for a harness to install the plug and did not find one. Perhaps a Cross Turismo owner can dismount their plug and show where the harness lead is, but I found nothing. Another member has explored using a custom harness/adapter.

Thank you for the details. I'm looking into retrofitting the mount on a CT from 2022. The bumper already has the removable covers, so I'm guessing the CT bumper is the same with or without the NG1 and therefore will not need any modifications.

Looking at the diagram on this link, the installation itself seems not too complicated if the harness is easy to install: https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Porsch...1)/PartDiagrams/002-000/bicycle_bracket?ref=1

However, I'm unsure if the installation needs coding afterwards, and if it can be done by the local Porsche dealership. Do you know?

This is the correct equipment (bracket and harness). You'll need to install the bracket onto the impact bar.

I'm uncertain if it needs coding. Again, I'm not certain a harness can be retrofitted. Take care picture of your driver side bumper with cover off

I've done some more research into the wiring, apart from the harness, you will also require Towbar control unit (PAB 907 383 D), I am yet to find out if coding is required

You should assume coding will be required. Luckily, with modern Porsches, PIWIS solves a lot of problems.

So, if coding is needed you don't think it will be challenging to it have done? The coding is the thing I'm most concerned about as the retrofit is not offered as an original Porsche retrofit.
