Interesting comments about the e-bike weight and the length of the trays. I've got a Specialized Tero XL that I'm looking for a rack. Been eyeing the DIY with 1-up trays (I used those already and know they are solid) but also appreciate the polish of the Porsche rack. Are there specs around the limits for weight and wheel-base length available?

Great video, thanks for sharing! I just wanted to share that Thule has folding ramps which connect on both sides of the bike rails and making the lifting of the bikes effortless. They fit on the Taycan bikerack. Further it’s important to mention the bikerack can only be mounted if one configured the car with the pre-bikerack option.

Does anyone know if there is also an extension available for a 3rd bike? Or if one of Thule fits?

would love to not have to use the roof for the kids bikes.

Yes there is, use the tequipment finder or contact your Porsche Center. They also have some storage options.

I was hoping it would extend at the back so I could fit 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes on it. I already put the kids bike in between without the rail and that works fine for now.

Wow that seems like pretty tight spacing. Didn't know they ha a retrofit kit to add a 3rd bike. I know with the 2 racks, it's comfortably spaced between 2 mountain bikes. Thanks for posting that.

Sorry to reignite this thread. Wondering if Porsche requires any "prep" option for the bike carrier. I have an existing Thule rooftip carrier and was planning to just buy new mounts and crossbars for it. Like this as an alternative. I do not see any "prep for bike carrier" option on my 2025 4S CT Taycan. They have prep for dash cam and for rear entertainment. Just thought maybe you needed some sort of option to be able to install the Porsche bike carrier.

I do seem to have the flaps that the video points out.

I believe all USA CT's come with the carrier prep so no need for the option.
