Here is what they sent to my service advisor. I hope this works, would rather not have my Taycan stuck in the shop for ages.
Crazy that you have to take your own troubleshooting instructions sheet to the dealer to get problems solved.
When I went for the WRV3 workshop update, I started by showing them the pdf printout (shared on this forum), and they seemed to know exactly what to do from there, so maybe this is the way.

It‘s not going well. Porsche GB’s advice was different from the advice in Austin: they told the OPC to replace the OTA module. Done - still broken. Been escalated to Porsche all over again. The OPC are thinking that they now need to replace the PCM!

@RowdyReverb how did yours turn out?

I'm sorry dealer repair did not fix the problem.
Curious about meaning of "still broken" right now:
--Does PCM display LTE or 4G symbol?
--Can you login to PCM with your Porsche ID, or must you still operate as guest?
--If operating as guest, does internet/online radio work?
--Do you see error message 'no data connection can be established right now' when you make selections in media display?

Car still with dealer so I don’t know.
It always had the 4G symbol, but no data connection to server over the network. So attempts to log in yielded a long wait then an error message. I think the message is different but I didn’t get full details from the OPC. Latest sync with app remains 24 July but that is presumably because they can’t log in.

Does PCM display LTE or 4G symbol?
When mine refused to communicate, I found these flags to be utterly unreliable indicators. After each of five resets of the PCM, they would variously come on (or not) without that restoring any connectivity. It all came back instantly after I disconnected (and reconnected) the 12v battery.

(I read somewhere that the cause for these issues is that the internal comms module snaps into Airplane Mode. Might just be an Internet myth.)

Yikes, sorry to hear that. My drop off is Friday, so haven’t even started yet. Not looking forward to driving a rental Macan for who knows how long.

The overdemand situation with loan cars is so bad here, and I have a 3000-mile road trip very soon, so I don’t even have a loan car.

What I’m finding is that although my OPC is really striving for great service, the process when they are stuck is to put an email in the queue to Porsche GB which takes up to 3 days for a response. I am beginning to see why cars get stuck for ages.

Did the fix work for you ? I did the reset knowing it would be a moot move but had to go to through the motion in order to escalate the matter.

I got the same issue (J1.2), my service center managed to fix it once by doing a “backend reset” but it broke in the same way after a week or two and the same trick did not work again.

Ultimately they ordered replacement part for the “control unit” and “OTA module”, took 6-8 weeks to get the part, a week for the replacement. I got the car back this week and problem is fixed (at least for now).

Yes it worked for about two months after the update was applied. Then it broke again and lifting the 12V would fix it for a little while.
Somehow at the beginning of the summer, the problem fixed itself and I have been fine for 3 months.

Got my car back from te dealership today (since 4th August). After various resets they finally replaced the OTA and Databox. At first they tried to replace the OTA box, but that didn’t fix the issue. Today they also replaced the databox, and everything worked again. All Porsche Connect and navigation services up-and-running again

If your service report shows the exact names and/or part numbers for the hardware that was replaced, would you share them?
