HI, How long tire should last that came with Taycan 4S? I have ~17000 mile and I can hear a bit of screeching sound when I take a U-Turn.

In my experience:
J1.1 4S 10-12k miles, 20" Pirellis
J.1.2 turbo 16-18k miles, 21" Hankooks

The brand of tyre makes a big difference.

This is not a very well asked question. What tire size, what brand, what type summer/all-season, understand you may be new, but let's do better than that and be more specific.

21-inch Conti All-Season: 15k miles fronts were down to 2mm but stretched to 20k miles. The rears are only 50%. So I replaced the fronts, but this time, they come with a treadwear warranty, so when they wear out at 15k miles, I can claim 45k-15k = 30k prorate toward replacement.

Around 15–20k miles is pretty common for the stock tires on a Taycan 4S, depending on how you drive. The screeching on U-turns usually means they’re starting to wear down or getting harder. Might be a good time to check tread depth or have a shop take a quick look before it gets worse.

Agreed with @SergeyIndy - ymmv (your mileage may vary). Also check the wear bars on all four of your tires to confirm tread wear.

I have a 2022 RWD with 20" Continental all-season tires. I have 33,000 miles now. The front tires are at 5 mm, so I hope they make it to 40,000.

The rear tires lasted 20,000 miles, probably because of the extra weight from the motor. My new rear tires are also Continental all-season with a 55,000-mile pro-rated treadwear warranty.

I don't do a lot of 'spirited' driving, so I suspect I get more mileage than most.

I did 37K miles on 21” A/S….probably 2K farther than I should have. CT 4S.
I was told by my service advisor if I drive in the sport or lowered position the tires wear faster on inside.
The PNA finance manager who drove my CPO before tended to drive in sport mode and got about 15K miles per set of 21” PZero tires.
Total tread depth when new the PZero’s have 8/32” depth. I am currently at about 6/32” after 10K miles so by the time I get to 4/32” it should be another 10K miles since I ride in the normal setting 99% of the time.
If I get 20K miles on a set every 4-5 years then that’s perfect since these performance tires really need to be replaced after 5-6 years anyway due to age degradation even if the tread depth is still OK. The warranty on these tires is 5 years so I will replace them at the 5 year mark max even if the tread depth says I have a few more miles in them.
We do very little highway driving. No more than 200 miles a month which is likely why I’m on track to get 20K miles out of my first set before I hit a tread depth of 4/32”.

I’m pushing 27,000 with original Continentals.
Good info. For me it would take me over 6 years to put 27K on mine so the softer compound in my PZEROS is perfect. My Porsche Boxster got 25K out of a set of 20s before the side walls started cracking and I still had tread left after almost 7 years.
At 4K a year average my tires die of old age first.

These replies are all very encouraging - I'm a few weeks into Taycan ownership (GTS ST with 21" Spyder RS with P Zeros) but I came from a BMW M340i Touring which I found went through tyres in about 7000 miles or so. I had Continental CSC7's on the M340i, the rears needed replaced at 7k miles. Then I tried Michelin PS4S's and they seemed to be lasting slightly longer.

Think BMW XDrive can be quite hard on tyres so I'm pleased to read the longevity comments in this thread for the Taycan!!!

The Goodyears on our 2023 4S went 19,000. I was amazed. Definitely road noise increase last 5k

One of buddies has the same PZeros on his 911 and Michelins on his BMW but he gets less than 10K since he drives his cars very hard. Heavy acceleration, goes in hard on every corner and practically skids at every stop. He doesn’t have an EV that goes through tires faster than lighter ICE cars. I’d bet he be lucky to get 7K out of a set of tires on a Taycan…

I think this really depends on your driving profile. I don’t push the car too hard but of course it is a Porsche which likes corners and acceleration. I need new Pirelli tires every 10k km.

Hey, drive the way it makes you happy. When I was in my 20s, 30s & 40s I drove very aggressively but in my 60s I only drive aggressively very infrequently.

Totally agree - I'm finding I drive in range mode most of the time if I'm in heavy traffic.
Switching to Sport or Sport Plus if I need to overtake slower traffic. When in range mode, I do drive like miss daisy a bit and just take it easy, but when the road clears I'm right into Sport Plus for a blast, if the fancy takes me (which is a lot of the time!!!):D
