I recently bought this iPhone holder. There’s no charging attachment, but I can run a cable from inside the glove box to the iPhone and it works great.

What I especially like is that this is easy to put on and take off.

Actually, it’s just a place for the phone to sit. I always use CarPlay in the Taycan.
UPDATE -- I've been using this for a few weeks and can NO LONGER recommend it. Since the phone is near my leg it sometimes gets knocked off of the magnetic ring, and it ends up sliding down the center display. At first I thought there were no issues, but small scratches have appears on the display.

The scratches are mostly not visible, but in certain lighting they are definitely there. I'll be looking into ways to remove them. I'm no longer using this phone holder.

UPDATE #2 -- So I researched how to remove "fine line" scratches from glass, and found this approach --

Toothpaste Method
  • Use plain white toothpaste, preferably one with baking soda or formulated for whitening (avoid gel types).
  • Clean and dry the scratched area.
  • Apply a small amount of toothpaste to a soft, damp cloth.
  • Rub the toothpaste into the scratch using small, circular motions with gentle pressure for about 30 seconds.
  • Wipe away the excess with a clean cloth and check the scratch. Repeat as needed until the scratch diminishes or disappears.

Works like a charm. Here is what I used as toothpaste, and for follow-on cleaning. Also, I worked on the screen from the passenger's seat so as not to cause the car to turn on.

Really sorry to hear you've had an issue with your leg knocking your phone off of the holder. The holder is designed to be used on the opposing side to where the driver is sat to negate this issue. I hope that helps

Kind regards
George

I swapped the CF wrapped plastic for a real piece of CF. V happy with the outcome.
