For those of you using ovo charge anytime, it is changing. I think their motivation to change it is so they can link it up with their public charging etc.

There is a new app you have to set up called OVOCharge. I guess the old app is getting killed, but no idea when. Helpfully (not) you need to set the new app up from fresh and then link it to your electricity account. There is no automatic migration from the old charge anytime app. That said, it does remember your car once you've linked your electricity account. Don't try and set up a new car (It only shows 2024 onwards taycans as an option). However, your old car will be under devices rather than new cars 🤷‍♂️. Took me a while to work that out.

As yet the new app seems not to show savings, as per the old one. Google seems to think this is 'normal' and it will start showing after your next billing cycle.

I had a Zappi 2.1 installed yesterday by Ovo. Even the engineer was surprised to see a new app replacing the old 'Charge Anytime' app. He said (as you mentioned) that its likely so they can have one app for both Charge Anytime and Charge Anywhere.

I'm new to EV's and charging boxes, and I'm about to post a new thread asking some (probably stupid) questions on the Zappi, Ovo and Charge Anytime. The engineer did explain how it all works, set up the Charge Anytime (and then the new Ovo Charge app once we realised the old app redirected you to) and installed and set up the MyEnergi app. But fast forward to today and I'm a bit confused about some things, which I will post about separately.

In the meantime, in either Charge Anytime or Ovo Charge app, I can't see anywhere to set the maximum charge percentage to? Obviously I want to set it to 80% ish but there does not seem to be anywhere within either app which does that?

I've replied to you in your other thread about this :)

The new app seems ok but there's no "Charge Now" button. I was interested to see very few public chargers on their system - I was hoping it might be a good alternative to the Porsche service once mine expires next summer but it shows massive dead zones where I know there are good chargers that I use frequently

There is an emergency charge button, which I guess is charge now.

savings info on mine (after 1 day) has now appeared.

I have a button called edit smart schedule, where you can amend the target charge and time.

overall mine seems to broadly have all the features of the old app, albeit arranged differently.

The sceptic in me thinks this is so that OVO can boast "XX number of users for our Ovo Charge" service which makes it more valuable for a sale to someone else
