$33368 (21.621%) Dealer

$15000 Rebates ($7500 EV; $7500 EOLLP)

I will, without a doubt, miss my 2024 Chalk Taycan Cross Turismo 4S that I stole last summer (love sport wagons and the overall spec), but the 2yr lease was coming up and I wanted to strike now before the BEV world implodes with the loss of the EV credit lol!

I’m excited for the updates in the 2025 compared to my 2024 CT4S. Hopefully I don’t miss the Performance Package (PDCC Sport, PTV+) too much, as now Porsche Active Ride is a $7650 individual option! But my 2025 is spec’d rather well for a non custom build with the likes of Performance Battery Plus, Sport Chrono w/push to pass, RS Spyder wheels. I’ve only driven it up from the dealer, so I can’t really speak of any performance differences between gen 1 and 2 at this point. I still need to break-in the tires/brakes.

Of course over the weekend, I had to wash/coat it despite being clean upon delivery. The Carmine Red is gorgeous and perfectly compliments the iconic Pepita seats with contrasting chalk seatbelts (who doesn’t love contrasting seatbelts?! lol). I love the RS wheels and black calipers, despite being a fanboi for red calipers, but I think red would be too much red. I also like the illuminated rear PORSCHE light strip, which I initially thought was going to be a bit cheesy. The PCM is much more responsive, graphics crisper, backup camera you can actually use, and they finally addressed the overly-German engineered process of adjusting your desired SOC with a simple screen toggle. I’m not too impressed with the redesign headlights in standard form (my CT4S had the upgraded matrix design headlights), and maybe this isn’t new on the sedan Taycan, but the side vents are blocked and not functional, unlike my CT4S which had opened/functional vents.

25% tint is scheduled for this week weather permitting (not getting it dirty after I just cleaned it), and I already swapped out the ugly orange side markers for euro-clear. Only other “mod” might be vinyl wrapping the black rear red reflectors, but I actually don’t mind them with the red exterior.

Shameless plug, if anyone is interested in brand new/unopened OE Porsche Taycan all-weather floor mats and cargo liner, I’m selling them together for $250 pick up in Lancaster, PA (mailing them would be a PITA to package and expensive) and they are listed in the Classified section

Tough choice indeed. Wagons make my heart go pitter patter but hard to argue that .2 isn’t a more technically competent vehicle in every measurable way. My prediction is that your overall satisfaction will increase…even without all of the performance options.

PS, I thought there was a salary cap that applies to getting the tax credits. Is that not the case if you lease? I would buy or even lease my wife an EV by Tuesday if there is $15K worth of benefit involved.

Leasing bypasses the salary cap. Where are you located?

Confirmed, leasing gets you around the salary restriction. I did it last year when I bought my Wrangler 4XE. I then immediately bought out the lease…an option if you want to own instead of lease. I’m weighing doing it again on a Rivian for my new off-roader. PSA, the $7500 expires the end of this month.

As for the red, get ready for everyone to say “nice Ferrari!”

Love the red. Greatly improves the dimpled appearance of the front end as compared with other colors.

PTV is the bad thing to lose because it affects acceleration from stop - the traction is just better when you have a diff that can lock and vector torque at the rear vs an open diff, which uses EDL (brakes).

Rest is a lot less important. PDCC has a lot less impact on a car that has a very low centre of gravity combined with self leveling air suspension.

As for the outside door/fender side vents. Those are open only if you don't have the touchable charging port. As you have it on the new car, there's this related "feature" to it.

On all the MY25 cars the electric charging ports are standard, no more manual ones. The only exception being the Turbo GT Weissach.
