Spending some time on a small canyon road that I’m familiar with to start testing out the PAR.
The section where my RS E-Tron GT had the most issues is a fast, sweeping stretch with a few undulations.
At 87 mph, compression was fine, but rebound was terrible to the point that the car nearly hopped into the oncoming lane.
I tried the Weissach in both Sport and Sport Plus modes.
It’s early to say, but Sport mode seems to be the ideal setting for canyon driving. The Active Ride feels more aggressive, almost like Normal mode, but with much more evident body-roll countermeasures.
On the same stretch of road, the Weissach’s rebound hop was noticeably mitigated, smoothing out the undulations — maybe even more so than in Sport Plus.
Sport Plus, being stiffer, delivered more road feedback but less of the distinct PAR sensation.
While taking a corner at high speed, the car felt extremely flat — the effects of PAR were much more apparent.
As I get more seat time, I’ll keep sharing my findings.
Next up is a 60-mile canyon run on Angeles Crest Highway to get a better feel for it.
