Hi Friends, I am about to pull trigger to buy this 2022 Taycan, spec sheet as below. As you can see, looks like it has all the major options including larger battery, air suspension, etc. it has 3K miles and certified by Porsche. They are asking for $73K. How much room do you think I can negotiate the price off? I saw another post that is 4S with low mileages sold for around $75K, so I thought maybe $70K could be a good deal? I am in west coast of the US.
Also if I u understand correctly, it comes with 2 years warranty and 8 years battery warranty? What extensive warranty should I get? How much are you paying for that extra warranty? I am a little concerned about so many recalls in the past. Is 2022 year model reliable at call? Thank you!

That's pretty crazy price, you didn't mention the miles but it should go for much less, and since it looks like it's a CPO i would advise you to lease and not buy.

That’s very high. For reference I sold my CPO Turbo for 66. Would never touch a rwd for that kind of money right now.

I got my 2022 CPO base, (15,000 miles) about 8 months ago for $68,000 but it was loaded with $47,000 of options and an original sticker of $130,000. That seems high based on the 117,000 original price.

Thank you! Was $68K before tax? (Must be I guess) that imply 52% of the original price. So based on that formula, this car should be sold at around $63K-$65K. Good info. But I wonder if my dealership is willing to drop 10%, that’s a big ask

I wouldn’t worry about them selling it out from under you. The fact is the buyer has way more power than the seller right now for taycans. There are also a ton for sale so just keep an eye out. Would also recommend at least a 4S but would push more for a turbo. Have had thousands of miles in all flavors and 4S really is the power sweet spot. Typically turbos are just optioned better.

Yes, it was before tax. I still go on Porsche finder to see what's available and most 2022's are in the mid to high 60's if they have the performance battery, well optioned and have low mileage. The CPO coverage is baked into the price but I would not want to own a Taycan out of warranty.

Used car pricing formulas are typically based on:
x% of base price + y% of total options price
x is usually much higher than y. Most options depreciate to near 0 (y approaches 0%) after about 5-6 years.

After reviewing all your suggestions, I have my eye on another Taycan outside my state, it has overall similar stats except the price is cheaper at $64K plus $1700 shipping, so technically $5K cheaper in asking price. It is 22 model RWD, but the battery has been replaced by Porsche and it is certified. So it is technically brand new battery. The original price was like $118K including 21 inch wheel, air suspension, does not have 115kw/400V on board chip though. What you guys think?

Make sure you deal and don’t take it at asking. You’ll love it.

If you get it, fly out and drive it back? A couple of us in the PNW have done this (with brand new Taycans in the middle of winter too). What better way to get to know your car!

It's 150kW/400V booster. What this means in practice is that at Tesla superchargers you will be limited to 50kW (instead of 150kW) charging speeds. At practically all others you can go 260kW (if your car battery is able to draw it, depending on its state of charge and temperature). If you ever have a choice, a fully working non-Tesla will be faster, even if you had the 150kW/400V booster. So the question then becomes, how often would you be charging at a Tesla supercharger?

It would be nice to charge at Tesla station for sure. But I heard not all Tesla station can be used? I have to do more research

I need to do some research. I mainly travel from Seattle to Vancouver for longest road trip. I have a Tesla. So I am more familiar with the Tesla station. But I heard not all Tesla station can be used for non Tesla cars. But if Electify America is faster, I will go there.

today the local dealership told me that the car with 3000 miles on it has battery health of 93%. I am a little nervous because of its low mileage. I saw people have 20K miles with 93% battery health. This one seems to be issue.

I purchased mine out of state as well. I told the dealer I would pay the asking price if they shipped the car to me in an enclosed trailer at their cost and they agreed to do so. Everything went well and would not hesitate to do it again. Flying out and driving the car back is also a good idea but since it was my first electric vehicle I was not confident with the whole charging thing. Now it wouldn’t be an issue
