My current favorite safety warning run amok is on our Rivian R1S.

Not only is there the obligatory, unsightly airbag warning sticker on the back side of the sun visor, there is also a sticker on the front telling you to look at the sticker on the back.

I wonder if those stickers have ever done anyone any good...?

Thanks for all the info, guys. I will ask my dealership why my Taycan didn’t even come with a physical copy of a manual. Reading the digital version on my phone hurts my eyes… the only good thing is that the keywords are searchable.

The manual is not included at the factory and instead is something that should be part of the pre-delivery inspection process where the dealer includes the manual. They often forget or don't have a current manual that matches the manufacture year of the car being delivered.

They generally will get you something if you ask.

Oh and during the COVID pandemic, paper manuals just didn't happen. Which I suspect was the start of the tardiness in this regard.

I only received a hard copy of the manual for my 2022 CPO Cross Turismo. I asked my sales person for a digital copy but she hasn't gotten back to me. Both versions have their pros and cons.

Does anyone have a 2022 digital manual that they can send me? I found a 2021 manual in the internet but not a 2022.

Digital manual is more up to date. If your Taycan is 2022 or older, your manual may describe the old black and white PCM software, but your car has more than likely been updated since. Welcome to 21st century, where cars change even while you own them.

As for the keyfob closing the trunk, it doesn't work. I have an Audi which will do it just fine, but not Porsche. On the other hand, Audi will not open the trunk with a fob if car is on - neither will an ICE Macan (though on that one you can hear the trunk trying to open but another mechanism is holding it closed). Either the Germans can't decide how the trunk should work, of their software is written by lowest bidders from all over the world, and it behaves differently if written in India vs. China vs. Russia, or other places.
