UPDATE - Heard from my service advisor today. Porsche has a patch for the Homelink problem. I’ll be going in Monday to get it fixed.

8/5/24 UPDATE - Took the car in today and patch was installed and works fine. I had to reprogram the Homelink of course, but at least it was a Taycan version this time.

For those who haven't programmed their HomeLink in while, this is a good tutorial --
Hi, I have the same issue, and scheduled to bring it in later this week, can you share the name of your dealer, so if my service advisor doesn't know what to do, they can reach out to yours.

I had the upgrade successfully installed at Porsche Annapolis (in MD). I successfully reinstalled my garage and gate remotes after the upgrade (both fixed and rolling code type remotes). No issues. Service ticket reads, “16591 Verified customer complaint. Performed VAL. Performed ATI. 2418.1 Performed software update per ATI. Cleared all faults. Verified proper operation of Home Link. Created after VAL.”

There were no charges from my dealer although they kept it overnight to “make sure the fix held”. Loaner was provided. So only downside so far is inconvenience of dealer visit and temporary loss of feature.

Thanks for the updates, I'll try to schedule with Porsche Bethesda (MD) to see if they can also fix my homeLink issue.

I thought the Taycan’s HomeLink implementation couldn’t handle rolling codes. Are you saying this is now possible after the software update or did you already have a workaround?

Asking as I want to keep using bi-secure (rolling codes) with my Hormann garage door rather than dumb it down to fixed code mode.

It’s always been Able to work with rolling codes. See my post on the previous page with a link to a video that explains how to set it up.

Roger that - before and after. Different procedure as mentioned above but it works. Can’t say for every remote that’s around but Genie and Chamberlin rolling work.

I have bsecure (Hormann) and this particular implementation of rolling codes is not supported. I added a Universal Receiver to get Homelinl to work.

What is the software version with the fix? My 2022 has been to the dealer twice for this exact problem and they don’t know how to fix it.

I don't have the 2022 anymore. The Homelink setup screen was for vehicles with physical Homelink buttons. 2022 uses digital buttons on the screen.

My car had this exact problem. There is a TSB that addressed this. The PCM needs to reprogramed. It has nothing to do with the software version. I was on the latest version and still had the problem until the PCM was reprogramed.
