I had two recalls that I decided to take care of because, why not right?

1. ASB2 Re-Programming Driver Assistance Systems
2. WSS6 Re-Programming 12V Battery Sensor

This only took a day to complete. I picked up my car the next day and immediately this showed up (see pics below). My car is a 21 4S I bought a few months ago and it has a police scanner installed from the previous owner.

I brought the car back the same day and right now they can’t figure out why this happened and they suggested that it’s the scanner. That can’t be because why would the scanner have anything to do with LKA and the Emergency Stop? Anyway, I currently have my car and I have to schedule another service visit to get this corrected. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any way I can take care of this myself?

By the way, I no longer have the option of LKA in my driver assistance section, so they either deleted it some way in the PIWIS by accident and it’s not vibing with the control unit or something else happened. And how did this service mess with my Emergency stopping? Makes no sense.

There are half a dozen TSBs issued about driver assistance system problems - one indication of which is emergency stop function and LKA errors. Here is info about one of the TSBs: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/t...ng-sensor-control-unit-acc1-oct-3-2025.31285/
That TSB is focused on one single ECU - the Distance Measuring Sensor Control Unit.

And: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11026391-0001.pdf

You can find the others by searching driver assistance titles in the forum or on the TSB list https://ti-list.azurewebsites.net/

Causes can be various malfunctions in various ECUs. Good luck.

No really fix for it, altho ASB2 should have updated to the latest software for it. So yeah typical Porsche they will look at it, reset and let you go

Thanks everyone, when I bring my car in, I'll let them know about this information. Much appreciated.

So my car has been in service for the last 3 days and I called to ask what’s taking so long. They have no idea why LKA and Emergency Stop is no longer working. They reinstalled the recalls thinking that is the problem, but to no avail. It makes me wonder how competent they are at programming this car. Is it possible a module failed?

The two recall items were completed on March 19, 2026. No issues before or after.

1. ASB2 Re-Programming Driver Assistance Systems
2. WSS6 Re-Programming 12V Battery Sensor

The only thing that I can think of is that they somehow bumped the emergency stop and LKA sensor that is in the bumper area. Total guess, but I know when the bottom of the car was dented for one owner who had to replace the battery, one thing that they had to replace was that sensor, that somehow cracked and had to be replaced. I would ask the dealer to check on that as it may be bumped/cracked or displaced from its original position that does not allow it to register proximity and may somehow works with LKA camera behind the windshield.

I did not experience the issues you reported in your OP before/after the recalls were completed on my Taycan. I would assume your issues with your Taycan have been addressed by Porsche.

Not yet. I’m still waiting to get my car back. I made a case with PCNA just in case they try to blame me for this. They’ve been good to me, but I just did that as a CYA
