There are also other alternatives now, for most people. The biggest one being used taycans 😅

The car is also outdated tech wise. A lot better tech in a lot cheaper products. People are not blind.

It is also no longer the only electric porsche.

Add to that the constant price increases.

So I don’t think it’s that bad

But looking at their product lineup, I don’t see it getting better

People seem to like blaming the US sales for Porsche’s declining revenue but look at all those drop offs all over the world with the exception of Germany. Wow.

For the price of a taycan GT specced out, you can get a used Ferrari SF90 low mileage, at least in CH. Or a 296 gtb.

And that’s a lot more of a desirable car for many.

You could also import 3 to 4 Xiaomi su7 ultra

Porsche’s strategy continues to be flawed, but the decline is not as horrible as it could be. More competition is coming.

They need to offer more desirable products, beside the 911. And even with the 911, the Covid hype era is gone.
I don’t know how anyone can justify the price of a new 911 gts in a decent spec

People are buying used taycans because that’s the price they think they are worth, not because they wouldn’t love a new one. The market changed.

I would justify the price with getting YOUR dream car in a dream spec.
And if it's not your dream car, then get sth else (yes, most possibly cheaper).
My spec sheet on a perfect GTS Targa has a price tag of 235 K Euro.
If I would drive my 911 as daily, I would spend that money and enjoy it anytime.

There are many more (important) reasons for a specific dream car than comparison, at least to me.

That's all nice and dandy, but most people don't dream of 4 door electric sedans/SUVs. Harder to justify prices in that segment.

And there's no way someone paying 235k on a 911 gts is not comparing the car to other brands :) And if there really are such people, they are a minority of hardcore porsche lunatics :D

I test drove the 911 gts, and after all the praises from media/youtube of "accelerates like an EV", it most certainly does not. Acceleration did not impress me, it sounds worse than older 911s, the interior is nothing special anymore - most cars do equal or better at 200k less, and honestly barely felt different than a base 911. I don't see 100k worth of anything it it over a base 911.

I also rented a SF90, and while it didn't sound amazing, it did sound better than the 911 and you could absolutely feel that it is a super car in terms of performance - the hybrid power train did deliver. And while i didn't drive one myself, everyone says that the little brother, the 296, is actually better.

Ferrari, is indeed, other country's vehicle. LMAO

How dare people experience other brands, test drive other cars, keep themselves informed? Right? We should all buy only porsche, even if a gts costs 2x the amount of a base 911, but delivers maybe a 1.1x in terms of "super car" - no questions asked?

LMAO

Couldn’t have said it better lol. The Chinese EV praise here is something else.
