Anyone try Conti DWS06 Plus tires? I used to run them on my E63 and I was extremely happy with them.

Everyone loves those. During my frequenting of forums over recent years for my Arteon, A6ar, i4, and Taycan, only positive reviews.
And decent traction in light snow for all season.

I used them on an X5. Great tread wear and overall all season performance

I'm running them on my J1.2 Audi e-tron GT, and they're absolutely fantastic. Much better in cold and wet weather than the stock P Zeros.

I am looking at 20 inch. We don't get snow in Southern California! I dont take it into the mountains. Thx
Why look at all seasons then if you don’t need cold weather tires?

All seasons are a compromise for people who have to. They suck at everything. 😜

Time for my favorite chart.

The problem with this is that the data is logged using fresh tires, and the conclusions are tricky, I'd "BUY" wet stopping over anything else since that's probably what saves the car in most road panic situations. That said, how are they when worn? nobody has fresh tires on Taycan for long!

Actually, modern UHP all seasons aren't that much of a compromise except at the extremes of weather: https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a70194548/michelin-high-performance-all-season-tire/

I'd rather have a tire that can handle wet and near-freezing better than one that shaves a few tenths off my track time.
I agree! Also, there's a chance I could get caught in light snow in early November, or last week!

Also, I'm actually shopping for the highest tread wear. Let's face it, I'm, along with most of us, aren't tracking our Taycans, so the bleeding edge of grip isn't on the consideration table, you're probably so far inside the grip range that tire wear is more of an issue than driving the car 10-ths, or cornering at the limit.

Also, if the car isn't as grippy, its actually a little more fun to slide around... so too much grip isn't a virtue - its BORING!

They’re worse when worn, but so are all tires.

I buy tires for dry performance. I drive defensively when wet.

Now if I lived somewhere in the UK where it’d always wet it might be a different story.

@cbaray did you get your tires aligned? Where did you go? I usually purchase from Discount Tire here in San Diego but they don't do alignments on Porsche. TIA
I didn’t get them aligned cause like you said, Discount Tire doesn’t do it. But they gave me a flyer for a brake place nearby that said they do a free inspection and then $25 off the price if it needed alignment. Brake masters. And yelp had me interested in a place in Escondido - D&E Alignment.
