New owner, love the CT (2025 CT4, Neptune Blue, Chalk; purchased from a dealer with 60 miles on it and also got it CPO’d). Driving back to Texas from purchase in NC.
Did a few searches but didn’t find prior threads on this (surely there are some??):

what’s the collective wisdom on doing a ceramic tint on the inside of the panoramic roof? I know the Porsche specs, and it does seem a little better than some others, but it’s also too hot to touch on a sunny 95 degree day when it sits out. And it gets hotter than that for a few months of the year in Texas. Curious if there’s real danger or cracking/damage if it’s ceramic tinted? Or if some other treatment reduces heat and glare in full sun.

Thanks!

I live in FL and didn't do it. That said my day starts in a garage and it's rarely in the sun for more than a few hours.

I applied a tinted PPF on the outside. My goals were to protect the glass roof from stone chips, and to also shade a bit as I have a newborn. I bought the pre-cut PPF from AliExpress and had it installed locally. The local installer said it was good quality (positive surprise as it was fairly inexpensive)

I would be careful with ceramic because it retains heat. 3M does make a great product, so that is worth considering.

That said, I ordered this roof shade from Amazon, and I have to admit it has worked really well. I live in Las Vegas, where it regularly gets over 100 degrees, and it has held up great so far.

I am still surprised at how much the roof doesn't bother me. I always get dark tint on my cars and hate the sun being on my eyes or burning my skin, but the factory treatment is very good on these cars. Imo not necessary, but I am considering clear PPF just to prevent it from being damaged. We already got a rock chip on the windshield.

I bought a pano roof shade off eBay. The fit is wonderful and it was a hundred bucks.

You get more sun than I do based on geographic location. That said, my recommendation is to put on a baseball cap if/when the situation dictates. Once the vehicle glass/structure is beyond factory warranty, you can bedazzle it at your own risk.

PS, by then you will likely deem it to be unnecessary.
