Is a J2 even coming? I thought Porsche was considering the Taycan a failed experiment?
Seems like the Macan and the Cayenne is what they're currently gambling on.
Uniden has the best ones. Uniden R4 is the best value and that's what I use. Or you can spend the extra on an R8 and get the benefit of arrows and better rear signal detection.
I've detected radar from as far as 2 miles away on flat roads. The range is really impressive and it has a lot of...
Just a point of reference - i remember Matt Farrah said he had the same issue with his. Some people said it's due to walking away from the car and the key loses proximity? Not sure.

agreed. to get some serious buyers, take pictures that aren't in an alley. find a nice backdrop, large parking lot or top of a parking garage, or a even just a local park or something with some space.
and get a picture of the build sheet. it was one of the hardest things for me to find when i...
i mentioned in other threads that we have almost no Taycans (or even Panameras) here, but the only thing competing with BMWs is MBs. They are everywhere and while i'm not a fan, the EVs are popping up more and more.
I said the same thing when they started selling the A-class here because i...
i also use the power button when parking in my garage because i don't lock my car. it's annoying if i need to go in it to grab something quickly or check the state of charge and i have to go find the keys because it's locked. i only lock the doors if i leave it outside.
funny, the other day i...
it can be hard to press the button on the screen. the joker button is 100% success rate. i have our set that way too.
i have the other one set for sport sound for the kids, but honestly wish it was more configurable like in BMWs. in idrive you can go to any screen or button and long press to...
The problem is it also gets noise. GPS will always be more accurate. Dragy also monitors slope, so you know if your time is affected by going uphill/downhill. I've had one for a few years and it works great for everything from 0-60, quarter mile, 60-130, and custom setups (i've even used it to...
the funny thing is, the handful of people that use their warranty always say to get it. but the countless people that "got it for peace of mind" but never use it (aka the folks making the insurance company money) never say they regret it. so you never get the full perspective of the risk vs reward.
i posted in another thread about how i never see Taycans in my area. I still have to explain to some people what it is.
I've probably seen 2 this year, and 1 happened to be at the track last weekend lol. A guy brought his Turbo S out to put it through it's paces for some laps.
just unfortunate because my first thought was you can take parts of the interior and trunk if you wanted to upgrade your car OEM+ style.
but after seeing that, i'm thinking...maybe just the trunk
it should be free. comparable services are free on other, cheaper cars I own.
and it's not a service. it's just a convenience, like comfort entry or access to your PCM settings.
think of it less as a service, and more as a paid option. i'm sure somewhere in the $100-$200k price tag, it was...
If only this was 3 months ago haha. Closest one at the time was in Indianapolis, and they had like 10. Cincinnati has a weird car market in general so I wasn't completely surprised.
I think if space is your concern, the Panamera should be the bottom of your list. Interior space is similar to a Taycan and rear seating isn't it's strong suit.
I think I've seen (3) Taycans total since they came out. They all looked the same, which very well could mean it was just the same person 3x. Wish I could say I saw the J1.2 at the dealer when we were shopping over winter, but they had 0 new and 0 used on the lot to test drive. Makes me think...
to add to this:
if an extended warranty makes financial sense for the warranty company, it does not make financial sense for the buyer. they generally charge more than the average cost of repairs over the given period. so it's most likely that the repairs will be cheaper than the cost of the...
