Also going on 3 months of Level 1 and feeling pretty good about it. We are using the included charger so only getting about 6A, so less than ideal. I wouldn't mind 10-12A with an aftermarket charger, but I don't see that as an issue currently.
We expect to drive the Taycan ~5k miles per year.
our only concern is i read that the 2020 infotainment is slower and gets less updates than 2021. if you can test drive it and mess with the settings, maybe give it a go to see if it is up to your expectations. i know it's a turbo but more hp isn't everything, especially when you can tune a...
i frequently get in and out of my car without the key in my pocket. the handles don't pop out on approach, but you can still reach under and pull the handle to open the door.
the problem with some teslas is the handles suck in flush with the rest of the door. so there's literally nothing to...
if you always make the same commute, odds are you make more right turns than left or vice versa. I make far more right hand turns, especially considering highway on ramps, exits, clover interchanges, etc. so it's not uncommon for one side to wear out faster than the other.
in person it looks very nice and natural.
wife really wanted it, and it was almost impossible to find on the market. we only found 2 using a nationwide search over about 3 months.
so if you want it, definitely spec it and keep it long term.
from what i'm reading, it will have no effect and you might as well save your money. active ride is to improve handling and reduce body roll, but doesn't have a noticeable improvement on normal bumps while driving.
good - wife said it was a must
bad - doesn't matter at that point
but in all seriousness, it is not annoying like i expected. it's like ambient lighting at night, it makes the space feel fresh and bright without a noticeable light source. i really expected the sun to be in my face all the...
i went with 20s for better range, still looks good, and cheaper tires since that's one of the only maintenance items you have to worry about.
i also think some of the 21s look off with the rubber band tires, especially if you have one of the smaller brake options. if you do get 21s, definitely...
the benefit of the battery pack is to take the load off of the electrical system and extend parking mode recording. some cars will struggle to start and throw errors if the battery is run down. also with the right battery pack and settings, a blackvue dashcam can film for over a month in parking...
we just got diono seats for our kids. their main selling point is it fits 3 wide on bench seats and they're low profile to fit well in sports cars with limited space. the problem with our cars is less about the middle seat and more about the hump, lack of proper latches, etc.. i'm not even sure...
I'm (still) in that same boat, and that's the main difference. 3500lb RWD is way different than >5500lbs. In this car I have yet to feel it lacking, but this upcoming week may be a test if I'm feeling ambitious.
To your point a bout BMWs getting stuck in weird ways - mine drove around town just...
If you have an online following, you can apply for their affiliate program and offer discounts etc. I'm not sure of the advertising rules here but feel free to dm me if you have more questions.
hitting the throttle through a turn, you can definitely feel the difference. i'd say it's noticeable to anyone that drives aggressively and has driven both. we only test drove awd taycans since that's all that was available locally, but the rwd is more fun.
i can get a fwd car sideways too...
I'm a Blackvue Ambassador but I really love their line. The new Elite 10 should be amazing. I have various versions of their 4K 2 channel units in all of my cars for the past 5 years with great success just capturing cool stuff while driving around, and 2 instances where unfortunately I was in...
if you can make it work, i'd recommend getting a separate AWD car (SUV) for hauling, long road trips, and winter driving. that's what we did. then the rwd taycan was less of a sacrifice while getting better range, and imo better driving dynamics for daily fun compared to awd. RWD with...
i'm assuming it's the sticker on the power button with instructions that would only apply to an ICE vehicle.
the words are out of focus so it's almost impossible to read, but the top refers to the key positions for Off/ACC/On and the bottom says not to crank the engine for too long or you'll...
