Electric Door Handles - Safety Concern

This one is pretty scary, so I would like to open this up for discussion to confirm that our handles are electronic first with manual/mechanical backup. This car was in flames in 60 second from impact and doors not possible to be opened from the outside with 4 passengers inside (1 front/3 rear).

Taycan has very narrow windows to be able to escape through.

What I understand is that our door handles are mechanical. The Tesla ones aren't. They are more like a button that toggles the lock.

My understanding is a double pull of a Taycan door handle, in case of total electrical failure, will open the door as normal.

We have to teach any new occupant to our Taycan that to exit the vehicle you pull lightly/gently. The hard pull is the mechanical "fallback" which, in my opinion, is quite elegantly designed, because it is 100% compatible with human "panic mode." Even from the outside, you can pull up on the recessed door handles to activate the mechanical switch.

I thought I read that the front were mechanical and electrical but the rear doors were electric only?

i frequently get in and out of my car without the key in my pocket. the handles don't pop out on approach, but you can still reach under and pull the handle to open the door.

the problem with some teslas is the handles suck in flush with the rest of the door. so there's literally nothing to grab when they retract.
