thread doesn't have to go in this direction, fellas.
it is pretty standard for pricing to go up year over year but a mid-cycle price hike is unexpected. i saw so many posts saying to buy your cars before January to avoid the hike but I thought they were just rumors. pretty unfortunate.
Bump. Also getting this sound, literally sounds like a clock under the dash but I don't have sport chrono. Will check and see if it lines up with the Key. I have noticed the key flashing red on the crest before.
Have the same "issue" on all of my german cars. I'd say it's pretty common on multiple makes, but it's a % increase.
Is there a way to code it out? on BMWs it's a checkbox that you can disable, although if you ever change your wheel/tire diameter then it can throw it off again.
Looks like this is the part number for the 14-way seat. The whole panel with buttons are one part.
9J1-959-748-C-TM0
Here's someone that had to replace theirs. Remove the surrounding trim panel to access it.

it's hard to know if something's wrong just from looking. if you can drag your finger nail across the surface and it doesn't catch on anything, then it's really just cosmetic.
One thing online forums and dealers have in common: You'll always hear when someone has a problem. You'll rarely hear when someone has none.
I recommend only using the feedback here as points of reference so you know what to keep an eye on and you can solve problems if they happen to you. It...
Just interesting because It's the same with BMWs and Audis I follow. Common sentiment is there's more concern with cars being stolen that way. Or at least, most of the people that I see saying they don't want the option will say that's the reason.
It's standard in the US on Taycans, and I have it on all of my cars. My understanding is it's an option in europe for security reasons, not necessarily the battery/reliability.
I generally believe this is the future of EVs. There are already aftermarket companies and independent shops that are focused on EVs just like we've had for american cars, german cars, etc. It's less about the platform and more about the market. If they get cheap enough and enough people are...
I really, really like big gaping front grilles. Same reason I love Aston Martin. I never was in love with the front of base 911s, but the 992 made it way better and the front end of GT cars will always win in my book.
EVs will never be at the top for me due to the chase for efficiency (And i...
Maybe the roads you drive on? It's common to have multiple components fail pretty close to eachother when they're the same age and exposed to the same elements. Cars I've had with air suspension tend to have dealer recommend changing both on one axle, or all 4 at the same time depending on the...
In my boat definitely the opposite. People give us a lot of space. But, I think because we still have temp tags on it, I feel like the assumption is "I don't want to get in an accident with someone who a. just bought a car or B. may create a super complicated insurance fiasco." We'll see if it...
like the audi etron hack that ed bolian blasted last year. all those cars will be coming back at the same time because they sold out nationally almost instantly. I guarantee Audi won't be making that mistake again, and the forums are full of people asking what to move to because they don't want...
I went down this rabbit hole and came to the conclusion that leasing doesn't make sense. I don't get the leasing argument regardless of the car's price. If all you want to do is lease cars, that's fine. But it's not a value proposition. You are effectively paying for a long term rental with...
a lot of german cars do that. it's based on tires/temp but also average speed, since most winter tires can't be driven as fast as summer tires. so you adjust the pressures to match. same reason a lot of cars have a max speed setting/warning, so you know if you're on the autobahn you can't cruise...
i'm speaking from engineering background and personal experience. saying grippier tires have less rolling resistance does not make sense. everything about them from tire temp, grip, and increased wear indicate the opposite of what you're linking. and lines up exactly with OPs experience.
have...
no, but i'm not worried about buying private sale. especially from enthusiasts that are likely to have taken care of the car.
the classifieds section was hard to sort through, so that's why I posted WTB. sometimes people are contemplating selling, but not sure. so if you're on the fence, this...
