Folks,
Long story short, my emergency key has become lost. Has anyone replaced an emergency key? Recommended sources? Lessons learned?
Thanks,
Crick

Can’t help you on that
But for future prevention: use airtags!
I have them on all our families keys, wallets, carpapers.

OPC can source replacements.

You have a spare, right?

Yes, @tophamn, I have a spare. At some point, I'll need to fill the hole in my other fob with a replacement emergency key.

Air tags are great, but there is no way to attache an air tag to an emergency key. Thanks for the thought.
O. You only lost the tiny key itself! To ask the obvious… why did you take it out in the first place. It doesn’t fall out spontaneously

Ah yes, why indeed. I needed a tool to pick a rock out of the rear foot well vent. The fob was in my hand, making the emergency key the most immediately available and well sized tool for the job. I assume the emergency key was not subsequently snapped into the fob correctly and dropped onto a parking lot somewhere as I ran errands the rest of the day. Bummer. Lessons learned: (1) use the right tool for the job, (2) make sure the emergency key is properly snapped into its fob.
