Farewell to the Taycan Forum

After more than four years on this forum and 5 1/2 years of Taycan ownership, it's time for me to say goodbye.

I joined in 2022 as one of the early adopters of the Taycan with my 2021 RWD. Like many owners back then, I was stepping into the EV world for the first time. There was a lot to learn, and this community made that transition not only easier, but genuinely enjoyable.

Over the years, I have learned far more here than I ever expected. This forum taught me what it really means to own an EV. From understanding charging strategies, battery management, and range optimization to planning road trips, navigating software glitches, and simply learning how to get the most out of the Taycan, the collective knowledge here has been extraordinary. Whenever I had a question, someone had already experienced it, tested it, or figured it out. That willingness to share knowledge is what makes this community so special.

After nearly three years with my 2021 RWD, I moved into a 2024 Taycan 4S. It was another outstanding car and an even better example of how Porsche continued to refine an already remarkable platform. I have now exited my 4S lease, bringing my Taycan experience to a close.

A special thank you goes to the many longtime contributors whose willingness to answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and generously share their expertise helped educate not only me, but countless other owners. Your contributions have made this forum an invaluable resource.

Thank you for making my Taycan journey such a memorable one. I wish everyone the very best, and good luck wherever the road takes you.

Although I'm not leaving I very much share your positive comments about the members of and value of this forum. But you don't have to leave. If you get a chance weigh in on how it goes with the Juniper and how it compares with your now gone 4S.

I will undoubtedly continue to visit from time to time to see how the Taycan community is fairing.

I have had my Juniper for a year now, so not much new to report. I will be seeking another car during the winter, but not convinced it will be a P Car.

I will be selling my Zunsport grills as soon as I get a chance to photo them. They fit all Taycan models except the Turbo's.

FWIW, the 2021 RWD was one of the first in the US when I took delivery of my spec 4/21. It was a big move to buy a car that no one could drive. In my book, that made me an early adopter.

It has been enriching reading your posts over the years. Take care of your self.

Interestingly, my wife's Mercedes EQB (a 7-seater EV) was hit by another car, so we have a current Model Y Juniper on loan - I do like it. It's not sporty like the Taycan but definitely holds it own. We had the previous version Model Y, but the current model is a lot more refined with better suspension. And nothing still beats the Tesla software platform.
