I have an MY23 CT-T (so not affected by WLH5, WRN4 or WNP5 drain hose related fixes). My foot garage or passenger seat carpets are bone dry. ..

My A/C has started to smell (cat's pee/ammonia/old apple) for first minute or so after starting.... I will ultimately replace the cabin filter and use a spray to sanitise the system etc..

....but first, whilst I am in there, I want to check that the drain hose is clear/connected properly - I know how to access its top connection to the A/C unit - but can anyone kindly point me to where the hose ends? Is it accessible to check it's clear from that end?

Many thanks

That is your Cabin Filter mold. This is easy DYI. I replace mine myself every 10k miles or no more than 12 months or even more frequent to keep it fresh. $30 for 4 layer superior filter. I posted plenty about it here, let me know if you need play by play and what to order and how to replace.

Thanks SergeyIndy... - Yes as I posted, I am going to replace the filter, which I have already bought .. hopefully that fixes it .... I know how to do that (YouTube) ....

I was just going to try and check the drain is clear before I do that, to prevent me chasing my tail on this, if water is not draining and causing contamination the filter... thanks

The good news when A/C is working, the car is pouring water like its having a major leak to one side. All you have to do is keep A/C running on a hot day outside and that water will be running down like crazy. My point is that you will know if you have none or little water coming out, then you got a clogged A/C drain.
