After many months of waiting, I received an allocation for an October build of a Turbo S for the U.S. market. YOLO, so I'm admittedly going wild with the configuration, which I hope to share with all of you when I'm done. I'm pushing $250k with this one...

There is literally one option left to complete my configuration, and I need the community's help figuring it out (because I don't trust what the dealer is telling me). My objective is to replace any interior plastic I can with leather without causing any of the carbon fiber package to be affected / removed. The dealer salesperson indicated that "Center Console Trim in Leather" would delete "Center console elements in Carbon Fiber (rear)” that is part of the “Interior Trim in Carbon Fiber” option included with the Turbo S. So he is recommending that I don't include that leather option.

To test this, I selected the base model Taycan sedan. I then selected BOTH of the above options. The configurator accepted both options at the same time, which I don’t believe it would allow if they were conflicting configurations. Therefore, I suspect my salesperson could be wrong.

Has anyone optioned the "Center Console Trim in Leather" on the Turbo S or on a configuration that includes the "Interior Trim in Carbon Fiber", and if so, does that negatively impact any carbon fiber elements of the interior?

I had the same question about the "Door Trim Package in Leather" and whether that affects the "Door panel trims in Carbon Fiber (front and rear)"... however, for that option my salesperson is saying this does NOT affect the carbon fiber. So I'm less worried about that particular combination.

Any guidance on the combination of these three options would be much appreciated!

I don’t have an answer re whether or not one effects the other re console but in an entirely selfish request do you have a pic or diagram that shows what exact additional parts are covered in leather when choosing the Center Console leather trim option? I am adding this too but have minimal to conflicting views as to where leather is added!

The post right after yours might be a good reference. It definitely includes the two bulges in one of the photos along the sides of the center console. I'm still uncertain if it includes the bottom piece that wraps around the back seat.

We won't through these leather options here, but can't answer the interior CF one.

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/t...-door-trim-package-in-leather.6022/post-84448

Can you also post your configuration? It must be every single option for $250k
This is a great resource. Thank you.

Of course, the one that I'm most uncertain about is the center console and that is the only photo that says "not certain about...".

I really wish Porsche would include more photos in the configurator. It would be even better if they highlighted the affected surfaces when you select an option.

One example that took some digging... the Taycan doesn't offer a "full leather" option, which would include the backs of the seats. The only way to get the seat backs in full leather is by ordering Olea leather.

And yes, I'm getting most "mainstream" options to get pretty close to the $250k mark. I am generally not adding customized anything, like changing the embossed images in the leather, or wrapping the floormats in leather. I also skipped a few options like the massage function.

In one example of "paying less for more", I don't want the pano roof. So I need to buy everything else in the "Premium Package" a-la-carte, which actually makes the car more expensive than optioning the pano roof.

I'll post the final config after everything is configured... if I can ever get a definitive answer on the leather / carbon fiber!

In a way I understand why they don't make it on the configurator because there are endless variations. Being more descriptive isn't that difficult though

Your dealer can get you a definitive answer by speaking with Porsche Exclusive.
This is what my dealer did for the Taycan PTS options

Yes that was a thread that I started :) - Mr Smith did a great job providing info on leather options but there is still uncertainty in that list as to what is actually covered in leather with the Console trim option.

They could still provide a simple schematic of where for example leather is applied in a specific option like the Console trim - so I am still truly underwhelmed at Porsche's configurator - for a car in this price range the information on options is absolutely pathetic.

And I a still waiting on the Dealership to provide said description!

Well I finally got a schematic from my SA of where leather goes in th Center Console Trim option - appears to be quite different than in the Mr Smith PDF which we need to update

Porsche Taycan Config compatibility of leather and carbon fiber CCT

Crude overlay to get a feel for the look:

Porsche Taycan Config compatibility of leather and carbon fiber added leather

And without for comparison:

Porsche Taycan Config compatibility of leather and carbon fiber no addl

I guess it is all personal preference, but I have heard nothing but fantastic reviews for the massage function. My dealer is getting one in soon for me to try out for the next build (hoping in 3 years Gen2 will be out), as this is one option that I personally would love on long trips and/or while charging. At $250k, you might want to throw that one in there.

Good luck on the CV/Leather options as I am interested in what you find out. Sorry I am no help on that end.

I love this "money is no object" configuration, well done! But trust your instincts and ditch the model designation to complete your stealth ride.
Turns out I'm modest, but not modest enough to completely delete it. The thought of deleting it altogether is actually unappealing. The "resale excuse" is probably just my subconscious mind protecting my ego from the hard truth that I still need to work on myself. LOL

Ha, at least you are honest! I still tell myself that I "needed" my Taycan because driving one sets such a good, eco-friendly example for others to follow (even if it does emit a little cloud of smug).
