The whole grill is awful... but it's better than the giant grills that are popular right now.Why on earth did they do this?

It’s a day light bar , no?They needed a place to insert fingers to lift the hood, so they said “MOAR” and went the whole section.
Same sentiment here. But also very appropriate lolI find it terrible how brands feel the need to plaster their logos on every corner and every detail just to remind everyone who made the product.
A Mercedes used to be a beautiful, elegant car — take the 190SL, for example. One single star, proudly and tastefully placed in the center. That was real understatement.
But now? Just awful.
The same goes for BMW — design culture seems to be gone. From one model to the next, they keep changing the kidney grille as if they’ve lost any clear identity, constantly redesigning it in a restless search for something. It’s a shame.

I would never think to cross shop the two brands. If you do, then you probably don't know exactly what you want from a car.Porsche people don't buy Mercedes.
.....
But then again, a Taycan still looks better.![]()

3 years ago when they were coming up with the final designs, they were looking to have even more logos on the grill. Like hundreds of little ones.I think they went too subtle on the badging.
How will people know what kind of car I’m driving with the logo only on the headlights, taillights, hood, trunk, and grille? They need to put it on the doors too and possibly have it projected onto the road in front of and behind me while I drive!
