I called support and they said all the paperwork had been approved and she sent me an activation link. Not sure why they didn't just sent me the activation link pre-emptively?

At any rate, got everything connected and it logs me in automatically when I start the car.

I checked for updates but it still shows there are none:

Yet I'm still happily charging at 10.5kW:

I'll take it.

Give it a day or two to detect the OTA updates... you'll be joining us here in single-digit 240v.

Checked for software updates again, nothing.

Don't think it matters, but mine is a late 2023 build 2024 model and has the updated SFD2 lock, which sucks:

I'm not particularly keen on taking it to a dealer (I try to avoid those whenever I can), but perhaps I'm missing out on other updates by not doing that?

I did just change the cabin filter, wiper blades and refilled the washer fluid (all using oem parts from Suncoast), and I was able to reset those reminders in the dash myself.

I also plan to do the break flush fairly soon myself.

Best to check with/take it to a Porsche dealer for updates as there could be quite a few to catch up on. Some of them are dealer visit only and some could be required to enable improvements in OTA .

I did take it to the dealer a couple of weeks ago have them give it a quick once over and they claimed it was current on all updates:

If I take it back, is there any specific update I can tell them it's missing. I guess I can show them the picture showing that its still charging at 10.5kW, but I doubt they are going to say that's a problem.

Btw, I've never had a dealer sent me a video after a car was serviced with a video walk around. I don't know if that is unique to Porsche or just this particular dealer?

Charging at 10.5 is on the money if you have the standard 11kW AC onboard charger (remember there are losses and it will never report 11kW when charging). If you have the optional 22 kW (I think it was discontinued by MY24) and your home setup is verified as being sound / public outlet ok then there may be a problem.

Very few OTA updates in general. and your car will have all Porsche updates applied up until the car was last at an OPC for either recall or servicing work.

When I bought mine used, the important step was calling customer support. Like you they sent me the activation link right away.

As far as updates go, I wouldn’t worry about it. They come when they come just drive and enjoy!

Innovative Software is activating my LED Matrix headlights next week and are sending me an oem piwis unit. I suppose I can ask them to check and update any software before they start the process as it could otherwise be lost if/when I do get ota updates (not very likely) or when I take it in for service and they apply dealer updates (a lot more likely to break the active matrix functionality).
